Can't stand the stuff, FT, but I hated raisin toast and cucumbers all my life until I turned 50 and now I love em, so who knows I might get to enjoy Christmas pudding one day too.

I've been into the Raisin Toast as well the last 6 months , try Panettone Flip you might thank me , depends which way you look at it  , if you want to maintain your 6 pack Flip stay away from it

Some Aldi stores sell frozen Yorkshire puddings made in the U.K. , try em with real roast beef gravy ! Or wait till they cool down and put strawberry jam on them !

 tiger, nice to hear how special your Nan was to you, I'm lucky to have one Nan still around but my other Nan spent the last couple of years of her life suffering from dementia which is a terrible way to see them go for the Family not so much for the dementia sufferer as they got no idea what's going on.
I remember the nights we sit out the back and she would look at the sky and line up certain stars and tell me the weather for the next day ( something along those lines) she would have unbelievable stories of how they grew up.
It's very sad cause I have known people who neglect there Nans and Pops and take them for granted.

My Nan was one of the most wonderful people I have ever met and she didn't have it easy that's for sure

Unfortunately my Nan had dementia as well in the end and ended up dying due to the treatment they used at the time for treating breast cancer

She lost both her parents in the London air raids during WW2 and was raising her 4 brothers and sisters when she came home one day and the British Govt had taken all 4

She only ever found one , a brother who had moved to Melbourne

Strangely enough she met my Grandfather and he was actually in the RAF of all places as an artist He flew with the reconnaissance plane and would actually draw the towns in Germany of what they would be bombing

She came with my Grandad to Australia as a 10 pound pom and they struggled to find work at first

Lost both breasts to cancer , the 2nd just before I was born

She had 4 heartaches / strokes , 3 of which I was within arms length of when they occurred

While she was still lucid I can never remember her without a smile

Im meeting my brother in Vegas in January who I havent seen in nearly 8 years. We're going to get disgracfully drunk together there and eat at Gordon Ramsey's restaurant then he's spending 2 weeks at my house here in the US. He was there when my daughter was born and hasnt seen her since and hasnt seen my son yet. I know it'll be past Xmas but thats what Im most excited about.

I hope your Xmas is a joyful one Chris, nothing like a good family get together, especially after such a long time, get drunk but don't disgrace yourself ha ha …have a good one.....

Wow  tiger that is one special lady, good story mate but at the same time sad as well. You keep remembering her with a smile cause I'm sure that's the way she would of wanted you to remember her.

She has a strange connection to the WT's

Sadly she passed away during half time of the Sharks v WT's game on Easter Sunday in 2006 The Tigers were down at the time but rattled home to keep the Sharks scoreless in the 2nd half

I like to think she had a quite word to the football gods that day

She was too nice a lady to say no to
