The NRL can't make decisions based on us. There's only been 5 gfs with both teams from Sydney in the NRL era.

You haven't noticed how Sydney centric V'landy's is? I highly doubt the Grand Final leaves Sydney.

Your probably right, but I bet he knows he had a great bargaining chip and the govt know he's bullish enough to move it at least once.

I actually think we will get a couple of redeveloped grounds out of it and the Grand Final will stay here.

Oh I agree. He'll get what he wants and hopefully that helps us.

The problem is, where do you do these redevelopments? just like the problems we have as a club with there not being one ideal location, each of the locations proposed for these redeveloped grounds have issues too.

Brookvale- one tenant

Campbelltown- would have multiple tenants but the Wests Tigers would need to commit the vast majority of their games there and I see that as unlikely

Penrith- one tenant

Kogarah- would need to convince Sharks or maybe Sydney FC to play games at the ground and St George need to play in Woolongong as well.

Wherever clubs and councils want modern stadiums. If they can't agree then they won't get anything. Penrith and Brooky look the most likely. Darcy Byrne has signaled his grand vision so that crosses them off. If Wests don't want a full-time move to Campbo and saints /Cronulla can't agree then they get nothing aswell.
Upgrades like Campbos last one shouldn't be entertained.

I really think these new or refurb grounds should be multi tenant grounds, that rules out Penrith and Brooky. Campbelltown is a good option because it would have multiple tenants if the Wests Tigers can be convinced to play the majority of games there. The other idea is to joint with the bulldogs and push for the Liverpool proposal.

But how many multi tenant grounds are there that need developing? Liverpool would be a great option, maybe towards the new airport.

The other option would be to partner with Penrith for a stadium near the new airport but feel that is unlikely for the same reasons as CSS.

Your getting closer to Gulargambone, Cochise. Carpark looking good.

The point I'm trying to make is I don't see the solution for Wests Tigers in regards to one ground because all the options have problems, the only way to overcome the problems is to play at multiple grounds.

Yep
Maybe they can use the money from there to refurb ANZ and relocate the Rorters to Perth.

I wish

they need to keep LO and CSS for some games throughout the year just picking one is not a good idea as our supporter base is spread.

I was a supporter of the push to one home ground, but I am starting to believe that to service our needs we need to be playing at 3 grounds. It's funny how my views on this has changed over the years, At one point of was fully behind a fulltime move to Campbelltown, then swayed back to keeping what we have now, then really wanted Bankwest to be our one home, now I am heading back towards us needing multiple grounds. I don't know, maybe I am bi polar

Sorry, part of me feels the emotional heart-tug to remain loyal to all our grounds.
But trying to satisfy everyone serves no purpose except promote division.
We need fan unity.
We need one home ground.

My fear is that if we don't pick one we'll miss out on this opportunity. Others clubs will get the new stadiums leaving us as the only club using outdated facilities.
We're about to claw our way back into relevancy with the C O E but will be years behind again.

Whoever said LO/CSS for the out of town opposition home games and ANZ/BankWest for the Sydney opposition home games I think has it right with the grounds in their current state and configurations. I think this maximises the revenue for the club and minimises any losses.

100 of millions of $$ need to be spent Leichhardt and/or Campbelltown to rebuild them to modern accepted standards if that is to ever change. I just cannot see one home ground being practical in the next 5-10 years. With ANZ revamp not going ahead it’s probably going to stay the way it is, multiple home grounds for a very long time.

The club needs to make a decision on this one way or the other..if they want to be an inner city club or they want to move 50kms away . They have two options of modern stadiums in the city ready to go or a stadium that needs a major upgrade and the realisation that the supporter base will not follow! This decision should of been made years ago ..

i think its a dangerous game for the club to play.
You stay with Anz it angers the people out campbletown way
you stay with LO it angers the campbletown people
you stay with campbletown it angers the ryde / inner city people
We need to at least have a few games a year at each if we make a decision on one it is too divisive and we will lose members

VLandys is pushing for 100s of millions for knock down and rebuilds for up to 4 stadiums.

Two clubs merged and they didn't lose too many fans. A change in venue within the same city wouldn't lose many on my opinion.
