Sorry, part of me feels the emotional heart-tug to remain loyal to all our grounds.
But trying to satisfy everyone serves no purpose except promote division.
We need fan unity.
We need one home ground.

Even if it costs us money?

Showground is just that an AFL ground and a showground.

ANZ is an 80k stadium for big events - you could play the Easter games, finals, rugby union tests, 2020 cricket internationals, visiting soccer teams, origin - big events exactly like it was meant for.

If you are building 4 20k or 30k stadiums then Homebush where you would base Dogs, Souths and half of wests tigers games then thats the best spot for it.

If you build 4 then 1 at Brookvale in North for Manly, 1 in Kograh for the South, 1 at Canpbelltown and 1 at homebush

I agree that we should be using Bankwest now that Homebush isn't get changed. But if they are building 3 to 4 stadiums in Sydney then I think Homebush should get a run as it will service 3 teams. Big games for those club could also be easily moved to ANZ if a huge crowd is expected.

The Showground was redeveloped for the GWS Giants, it is now a boutique AFL ground right next to an 80k seat oval stadium. If AFL can have a boutique stadium literally 200 mtrs from ANZ there is no reason Rugby League can't have one in the same precinct. The biggest argument against a boutique stadium at Olympic Park is the proximity to Bankwest and in all honesty it is probably a killer to the idea.

Whoever said LO/CSS for the out of town opposition home games and ANZ/BankWest for the Sydney opposition home games I think has it right with the grounds in their current state and configurations. I think this maximises the revenue for the club and minimises any losses.

100 of millions of $$ need to be spent Leichhardt and/or Campbelltown to rebuild them to modern accepted standards if that is to ever change. I just cannot see one home ground being practical in the next 5-10 years. With ANZ revamp not going ahead it’s probably going to stay the way it is, multiple home grounds for a very long time.

VLandys is pushing for 100s of millions for knock down and rebuilds for up to 4 stadiums.

Gladys will not wear that for a bit extra you do ANZ..

Well her govt entered an agreement with the NRL to spend that amount. I'd be backing VLandys on that fight.
A 20k stadium as Homebush would suit 3 clubs, I wonder it that's a possibility.

That is the best idea I've heard - not sure on space out their for another stadium but def a great idea. Only 2 issues I see is that Bankwest is only 15 minutes away from Olympic park so seems wierd to have 2 top stadiums so close but it always has seemed weird I guess and the other being is their somewhere to put it in the complex

However i really think thats a brilliant idea in what is meant to be a precinct.

Supporters should really wake up .. your tax dollars built a purpose built stadium only kms away from the Olympic precinct a great place to watch footy... instead of being so pedantic and critical we should be grateful such a great facility is available .
Honestly words fail sometimes at the garbage that is trotted out as to why god forbid our club should not use this facility! You all paid for It ....

It's Parras home ground and always will be.

Has their Leagues club next door.

I agree that we should be using Bankwest now that Homebush isn't get changed. But if they are building 3 to 4 stadiums in Sydney then I think Homebush should get a run as it will service 3 teams. Big games for those club could also be easily moved to ANZ if a huge crowd is expected.

Do we really think in these economic times that 4 stadiums are going to be built .. I wish they would be .
I am a realist there is a fantastic new stadium in Sydney designed for our game ! Why not use it ...
