Will be nice to have a 9 who isn't gassed after 30mins and can pass. Prob doesn't attempt a ball strip 5m from the try line on a rampaging forward either.
Or fail to get to dummy half when your seasons hanging by a thread.
Oh man wasn't the worst. Sad thing is not only was he not there he was 3 plays behind, languishing behind his ball runners gasping for air about 20m away.
Assume that you talking about the play where we lost the ball near the line due to Blore not going into dummy half and if that is the case, Liddle was at dummy half for the previous play and no way was any hooker getting across for that play.
If not, when was it, as I fail to recall another incident?
Still believe Jacob has plenty to offer if utilised properly, though also happy with the Koroisau signing as he is top shelf.
Tackle 1 - Lids dummy half
Tackle 2 - Lids dummy half
Tackle 3 - Chee Kam dummy half, tackle on the sideline
Tackle 4 - Lids dummy half, tackle 15m out directly in front of posts
Tackle 5 - No dummy half, 1m from line and 10m to left of the posts. Lids hasn't moved since tackle 4, still standing exactly where he passed ball from. I agree Blore could have jumped in there but a good hooker is all over that play and following the ball not meandering in back play.
With game and season on the line they all needed to be better there but as hooker he especially needed to be better there.
Can agree on most of your ultimate sentence, though I am almost certain that it was more like half the width of the field and tackled in the hands of an outside back, as I wrote similar in the Live Thread.
So likely 30 odd metres width on that play and I only called you out on your previous post as not only did Liddle pass the ball from dummy half on the fourth tackle, it certainly wasn't true that he was "3 plays behind", He was though "gasping for air".
Anyway, happy with Api coming and Liddle/Simpkin in the meantime if used properly.
