You’re being your usual self anything that gets put in the media about us from the sound of it you would believe given the fact that Tigers and Panthers at the moment have a rocky relationship you wouldn’t think that one would try and upset the other? The DT takes anything they receive about us and try their best to make it sound true even when you can clearly tell its not

Because Panthers don’t need front rowers they have Fisher Harris who’s on a huge contract anyway plus from what we know it sounds like he’s willing to stay at the Tigers only club that has asked for him is Storm due to Solomona not getting vaccinated Panthers for 23 will need a Hooker and a backrower to compensate the loss of Api and Kikau so they would have asked for Simpkin or Blore to try and help that loss but we would have offered Liddle not us willing to offload them we resigned both Simpkin and Liddle not too long ago but the relationship between Madge and Liddle isn’t great mate that’s why he’s on the outer and Blore was just suggested because he’s one of their juniors

Either way if they get along or not it doesn’t change the fact that out of the players mentioned Liddle would have been the only one that was offered to Panthers we have other sources claiming that as well no mention of Blore or Simpkin and if there names were mentioned it would have been on the Panthers end not ours only one we would have offered is Liddle that I’m confident off

25 and 27 year olds that show nothing above average ability on the field but we have to put up with them being named for so long !?

It’s got nothing to do with Liddle and Noffa. The law of averages says that there will be at least a couple of these players who don’t come on.

Laws are meant to be broken.

There's a promising bunch coming through that are just as good as the Penrith bunch we're seeing play back to back grand finals right now.

It makes sense mate if you choose to believe the DT when at least each week they write a story about us and the fact that the person who wrote this article is known for writing most of these stories that’s your choice but I highly doubt that the Tigers would have offered Simpkin or Blore in hopes of getting Api early if we didn’t have Sheens at the club it probably would have been more believable but even he would know those 2 while really young do possess talent and wouldn’t offer their names up to get Api early only one would have been offered and it was 100% Liddle

Agree @Demps we have a great crop of juniors coming through. We will see some of them play first grade this season no doubt. 2023 will be the rise of the tiger

For mine Api's contract finishing up in October 2025 shows a lack of confidence in both current options long term and puts Rua and similar others as next in line.

Reckon that Tannous is going to be a nine as well and don't know enough about Anjoul to comment on, apart from deducting about 50% of expectations when allowing for the Lebanese love in factor. Not meant as a criticism, rather recognition of bias that we all have to varying degrees.

If Liddle has been told he’s not in future plans then what does that say about Simpkin when they’ve both been offered to Panthers to get Api here ASAP?
We will need one of them to cover for the games Api can’t play due to vax restrictions.

Means a journo didn't think a story about us offering only Liddle for a swap would generate enough clicks so they either added Simpkin and Blores names themselves as extra bait. Or they're partial to the Panthers and wanted to write a puff piece about how great they are and how desperate the Tigers are.
