gee yeti, you’re sounding like a board member. If Stefano was as bad as you describe then doesn’t say much for our other forwards. He was our best in pretty much every aspect of the game. I appreciate that he didn’t meet your expectations, I’m with you on that.Stephano is not captain material in any shape or form. If he was, he'd have been busting his backside week in and week out for his club, leading by example, and 'getting up' those guys who weren't putting in. What he gave us, however, was a limp wristed impression of a real front rower. Pathetic.
He was so frustrating to watch sometimes when he broke tackles always looking to offload and had no support. That will not happen in Melbourne.
I don’t think there is another middle in the game who can do what he does in that area.
Richo must have tried everything to stop him from leaving. Unfortunately it was all for nothing, the outcome was inevitable when Madge wouldn’t have him in the Blues squad.
