Little man with enormous courage as he bootlace tackles much bigger men charging at him. Also, skilful and deceptive out of dummy half with a good mix of clever passing and well times scurries. Invaluable player and captain who leads by example. I agree, his arrival was the sparkplug that kick started the Tigers revival.

I've given Api points every week. He has got the forward pack humming and his work rate is off the charts. I think Douehi might of shaded him a bit today by a whisker.
Get why Benji backed him I wouldn't swap him for anyone either.

Api's tackle efficiency was only a touch over 86% but in that he made 56 tackles with 4 missed and 5 ineffective.

Not too bad for an old bloke and that ankle tap probably saved the game for us, but to put things into perspective, Adel Hage mentioned that the ankle tap would have gone down as a missed tackle.

Pretty ironic that a missed tackle may have been the reason that we stayed in the game and were able to go on and eventually win it.

Just goes to show that stats don't always tell the full story.

Yep his “missed tackles” are a little misleading. The amount of times he shoots up fast to try smash someone usually ends in him stopping their momentum but not necessarily finishing the tackle. The bloke is an absolute lunatic. It was so good to finally give him an early shower on Sunday.

i'd be happy with a top 8 finish in the next 2 years. If it happens, Madge or whoever it was that got him here was the beginning of the end of the bottom.
