@clontarfkid said:Frankly, and im probably on my own here,by coming out in public and declaring WT as a "basket case" for the next 3 years is not particularly astute.
Not only wld it deter fringe(ie cheap) players who we may have been able to buy,but it truly demotivates our better players (tapua)and gives them no incentive wotsover to stick around.Totally self fulfilling.Downward spiral to accelerate.
My personal jury on NRLs fly-in Board members is still well and truly out tbh-all weve seen so far is a public rant on why clubs" need more women on Boards"(with HQ hand up their back),another public rant on journanlist info sourcing(best to have left alone rather than elevate issue awareness)..and now this(and with The Australian. of all media.?)
What I am looking for from this Board is a strategy to deal with the problems inherited or otherwise, rather than just a hand wringing exercise.
You are not on your own.
My post earlier in this thread, is along the same lines. I dont think that she has helped the club much at all, and agree that she had portrayed the club as a basket case now, and for God knows how long. . We may be that, but I agree that some tact should have been used so that we don't have an exodus of the players that we need to keep.
You can't help but think that there's some sort of agenda being set up.
