Telegraph is reporting Young is unlikely to come to WT, with a move to cowboys or knights more likely

We need someone. There are quite a few ex head coaches that would make good assistant coaches eg Toovey.

Most keen to replace Webster who I’m pretty sure is our defence coach. It seems like Madge is trying to find someone at least

Maybe we can get Benji on board next year.

Toovey would be good but I’d be calling Michael Hagan if he’s still around ?

Absolutely, he’d be a top choice.

I'd say we need three new assistants. Hodgo is rubbish and the other two can't be anything great. Fresh blood, new ideas, no previous allegiances.

No jobs for the boys. Just the best candidates.

And no to Flanno, even though there's a few good sorts in his stable.

Interested how you've drawn the conclusion that Brett Hodgson is 'rubbish'?

Two very experienced and successful head coaches (Cleary and Maguire) who see him day in day out don't seem to think he's rubbish.

He led the magpies for two disastrous seasons. They never played with any strategy, always looked disorganised and poorly coached.

Add to that his family live in France and he goes there every chance he gets (is he even in Sydney at the moment??) he was far too absent to be an integral part of the coaching setup. He's also been here for 3 years and these haven't exactly been highlight years for us in terms of results, performance or development. What has he contributed exactly?

A WT legend sure, but he's tried and failed as a coach.

Sounds like you have a personal gripe against him and next to no understanding on the KPIs for success as an assistant coach.

Carry on.

Does that really surprise you that the DT writing something negative about us.
The only good use for the DT is ripping it up into strips and hanging them on a 4 inch nail in an outdoor dunny.

No. Just telling it how it is. Legends don't get a 'get out of jail free' card just because they're former players. They have to earn their position. He's failed for 3 years and should be shown the door, refresh the ranks with some new blood and ideas.

What are Dean Young’s credentials.?

Hes Craig Youngs son, that's his claim to fame.

His claim to fame / actions should be he got us a GF in 2010 ...kneeing Lote in the back from memory

Being a assistant coach your on a hiding to nothing. The team goes well and the head coach is a genius, team goes bad and the assistant coach is on the chopping block.

Was told by someone inside camp Concord, that the players really like Webster, but it might be a case of good cop bad cop, and Webster plays the good cop.

Anyway you need change to freshen the joint up

After fifty minutes, it was 12–12 and for the next twenty minutes, the game developed into a tense battle for field position. The circuit breaker came in the seventy first minute of the match. The star Tigers winger, Lote Tuqiri, was kneed in the back by Dragon’s player, Jeremy Smith.
