At what point does goalkicking become a crisis?

Dont need to back it up…im confident & comfortable and NOT talkin crap unlike you who reckons 50ish% is no problem.

so by your theory 15 of the current 16 NRL goal kickers arent up to "pro nrl standard"

You clearly dont know what youre talking about…surprise surprise

And why is that?

gee i dont know maybe because you said

"80%+ is the standard acceptable percentage for a pro NRL player"
\
\
by saying that you are saying anything less in unacceptable and there for not up to standard.

the life guards at your local pool may allow you to do back flips, not me

Thanks scoop….just goin round in circles now eh...know youre wrong?

Whats your 15 out of 16 kickers BS?

Youre not even close

you said 80% was the acceptable standard there is only 1 kicker (to my knowledge) in the nrl who has a career goal kicking percentage over that so by YOUR theory not mine there is 15 goal kickers in the NRL not up to standard

Ron its not even about percentages, its about momentum, last week we were getting smashed all over the park, we somehow get a try that makes it 12-4, if we kick the goal we are one scoring play behind and our intensity lifts, crowd gets into the game, penalties go our way, its a full momentum shift. We miss the kick from 10m to the left of the posts and our heads go down, the crowd groans and the Dogs go in again.

Would the kick have won the game for us, not necessarily, did the kick change the momentum of the game, definately.

Goalkicking is not always about percentages. Having said that his percentage is awful and the way he is strking them is worse. He is pulling them all left which is the 'I'm tired' side as well.

Who cares about how anyone else is kicking, you are flogging a dead horse.

I dont give two hoots what burgandy says now - goal kicking is a problem, plain and simple.

Why bother arguing the point?

Hows Mullaney going with his goal kicking …... one more reserve grader in the team won't make much difference.

Worse than Benji. He kicked 2 from 8 last week.

Geez …... long way short of the boys 80% they're talking about on the previous page !!!

Oh well ..... he might have to stop down there for a while yet.

Just for everyone elses benefit, so far this year…

JT's on 100.00% (19/19)
James maloneys at 94.44% (17/18)
Todd carney at 81.48% (22/27)
Jamie Lyons at 80.65% (25/31)
Matt Rogers 87.50% (7/8)
Luke Burrrt 85.71% (12/14)
pussy whipped Princey 84.62% (11/13)
Wes naquiam 80.00% (8/10)

Then theres...
Gordon on 78%
Campo on 76
\
\
\
\
\
\
\
\
\
\
\
\
\
\
\
\
\
and then ...

Benji = 55.17% (16/29)

So if Benji was landing them as well as Jamie Lyon we would have say 18 more points for ….that puts us 4th....

Goal kicking will be the diff between a top 8 finish or Top 4....

Now is it a crisis at the Wests Tigers?

how many shots does benji have from the sideline? in the parra game all but 1 were from the side line teams like the titans manly melbourne score their tries in the centre of the field leading to easier kicks at goal, benji isnt kicking well but the team isnt making his job any easier, id say 75% of his goal attempts are from at best 10 in from touch or worse.

keep in mind for 3 rounds benji was playing with injured ribs which severly effects your follow through on your kick. im sure he will come good eventually.
