At what point does goalkicking become a crisis?

  Great goalkickers kick them from the sideline …. :unamused: El masri .Johns, Halligan, Ross Conlon, Ron Giteau, Don Mosely, Mick Cronin, Graham Langlands Eric Simms, Clive Churchill.......kick them from anywhere

You are wrong RON..... it's a problem now and you have no leg to stand on...

Stop making excusses this is 2010....the year of no excusses....

benji kicks them from the side line aswell, hes just had a bad start to the year, lets see where he matches up in round 26 as opposed to round 6.

at this point its not a crisis it hasnt cost us a game and besides the bulldogs game i cant think of another kick where the goal was a certainty that he missed.

ron….quite obviously now that you have been proven wrong your changing your arguement...give it up mate

how have i been proven wrong? i said post career goal kicking stats from all the current nrl goal kickers to see if they kick over 80%, innk posted 4 players who have had less then 15 kicks at goal this year, maybe you need to mind your own buisness if you cant follow the conversation properly

LOL…poor sad wonnie...your desperation is hilarious

BWAHAHAHA!!!

what desperation?

I asked you to post career goal kicking stats and you come back with this season stats and half of them have had less then 15 kicks at goal. what you did was post stats that benefit your case not th argument in general which proves that you know you are wrong.

hazems career percentage for conversions was only just over 80%…if your emplying you have to be as good as hazem to be a good goal kicker.....well sir...enough said

see you obviously arent following the conversation between me and ink, its INNSANEINK who said a goal kicking % of 80% was "acceptable" standard from NRL goal kickers not me, so i asked him to provide career goal kicking stats of current nrl players who kick over 80% and he couldnt all he could do was post stats from guys whove had 15 or less shots at goal this year.

Like i said if you cant follow a conversation keep your nose out of it

The real and only questions is…

who is our best goal kicker.

If it is Benji, then fine. But if it isn't and he is still taking the kicks for some god-for-saken reason, then we have a reason to be angry.

Anybody got the Daily Tele??
Doesnt seem to be online, but in the league liftout today there was a story on leagues forgotten men, the goalkickers.
Darryl Halligan is quoted as saying "**80%** is now the benchmark…once upon a time you could get away with 70%, but not any more"

This from one of the games best ever kickers.

Edit: also in the same article JT was saying how he's helped Todd carney improve his kicking and that he had an off season to make the adjustments as he was recruited by Easts in November, hes only just come on board with us (reactive - not proactive) and therefore Benjis adjustments are occuring now, but he will improve because "Benji wants to"

Let's just cut to the chase….Benji's % conversion rate just isn't good enough....not for any NRL Coach, except ours....
I blame the man who hires....he bought Danilla, Brown,Tupuo.....only one friggin good winger/fullback who could kick 75% ..ie Inu or similiar whould have been a much better buy....

I guess Dazza Halligan is wrong too

its just an opinion, what if johns or taylor said 70% is acceptable?

and if youve ever heard halligan commentate you will know the guy speaks more rubbish then any other commentator

JUST AN OPINION?

Congrats Ron!!!

You finally get it….its just an opinion
... as is my initial statement on this topic, yet backed up by stats and expert opinions...however you were quick to call me wrong.

But then you come out with crap like....

if you believe what you are saying then you cant be wrong,

I wont hold my breath awaiting an apology from you.
