I wonder if the cheating scum bags won the ashes fair and square ?

Needs to be an investigation

:brick:

Did we forget about Mike Atherton? Your spineless mob didn't even sack (or suspend,) him.

Yeah you're right actually, it is chalk and cheese because will actually be held to account for it.

Both have made terrible calls of judgement as captain and engaged in ball tampering. The difference is that Smith will actually miss a match for his troubles, and if CA have the nuts, they'll ban him for a lot longer and make sure he never captains Australia again.

I hope CA neck everyone involved and actually take a stance against cheating in the game. Everyone else sweeps it under the carpet. Smith, Warner and Bancroft have tarnished the game and they should roll for it, especially when Smith and Warner went on strike and demanded more money as they believed they were integral to the game.

All good mate . I'm just having a gee up with ya !
Totally agree with your comments! Smith and Warner should be dead men walking !
But in reality this could be the best thing to ever happen to the most arrogant sporting team on the planet IMO

Angry with what our "leadership group chose to do "

Just as angry at the gutless batting performance in the 2nd innings , you'd have thought that they would try and show they had some pride in the baggy green , not soil it even further

Some past champions must be rolling over in their graves

latest gossip is:

- lehmann to resign (not forced)
- smith and warner one year bans in all formats based on CA code of conduct- apparently should be life ban but "sponsorship and endorsements" not letting them.

if that goes through, $2.5M each in IPL won't be given to them.

I’ve seen this around as well. Makes sense with only Renshaw flying over. Bancroft May play the next test while the leadership group fall around him.

"Weet Bix " has already pulled the pin on Smith
Toast from now on !

Lots of news around that majority of Aussie team want Warner gone - forever. Fox sports broke this earlier today

Probably the biggest low life to ever play for Australia.

Starting to look that way eh. Personally I can’t stand all the big guy chat then can’t put together a decent innings

Comments made by former Australian vice-captain David Warner slamming the practice of ball tampering have come back to bite him after he was stood down from his leadership role in relation to the Australian ball tampering scandal.

Former captain Steve Smith cited the Australian leadership group during Sunday's press conference confession, which detailed the group's plan to change the condition of the ball using dirt collected on a piece of tape.

Warner made the comments after now-South African captain Faf du Plessis was charged with ball tampering during a tour of Australia in 2016.

"I won't comment on the way [South Africa] have been behaving but I just know from an Australian cricket perspective: we hold our heads high and I'll be very disappointed if one of our teammates [illegally change the condition of the ball]," Warner said at a press conference in 2016.

"The rules are in place for a reason, if you're not gonna use them, then why bother having them?"

Du Plessis has been found guilty of ball tampering twice: the first instance was against Pakistan in 2013 when he was caught rubbing the ball against his trouser zip; the second, against Australia in 2016, involved applying residue from a mint in his mouth to the ball - prompting Warner's comments.

The South African pleaded not guilty to the latter charge, but was found guilty by an ICC panel and fined 100 per cent of his match fee.

"That's the fortunate thing these days, [the administrators have] got the rules and they're going to stand by their decision, and I think that's going to be a good thing," Warner said at the time.

"We've all been on the back end of them from time to time. Now that they're cracking down on it, especially with the points system, we as players know the guidelines now, so if you're going to overstep that mark and you get fined, be prepared to miss Test matches as well."

Warner was fined 15 per cent of his match fee in 2014 for accusing South Africa of ball tampering, telling Sky Sports Radio the Australian camp were suspicious of the opposition wicketkeeper.

"We were actually questioning whether or not A.B. de Villiers would get the ball in his hand and with his glove wipe the rough side every ball. That's another thing we have to try and bring up with the umpires."

Better keep those cheques rolling in Davey old son or else it is highly probable Candy will start haunting the Coogee Bay Hotel brasco's yet again.

Its garbage , Smith and Warner bring the entire world down on our cricket history and then basically don't deal with the fallout from playing in that very same side

I see some common sense has prevailed Matt Renshaw recalled from the SHEFFIELD SHIELD CHAMPIONS QLD BULLS

Sorry my caps lock seemed to jam

You sure jam caused the stickyness happy?

Even before this ball tampering issue exploded in the last test I had lost interest in this cricket series due to the appalling behaviour from both sides,South Africa are a team in denial that think they never do anything wrong ,while Australia come across as an arrogant bunch of ar#eholes that forever bully the opposition.
