good cause supporting survivors of abuse but the way she carried on at the Lodge was pathetic. I'm sure Alcott will not make the award political like she did,
As for the National Press Club well didn't they give Albo a free ride incredibly pro left.
I'm sure while she is there she will get the photo opportunity with Albo

Apart from the whole 'now let's fix the NDIS thing' huh?

Well done.

That look that Tame gave Morrison reminded me of that Latham hand shake to Howard moment.
She sould learn that you catch more Bee's with Honey then Vinegar.

And look what happened to Latham. He's a complete non-event these days.

I'm sure she'd *relish* the opportunity to be told how she 'should' act by more old guys.

BTW, apologies for the veer off-topic; Dylan Alcott is a champion both on and off the court.

Both he and Grace will make lasting changes to improve this country and I commend them both.

Alcott is a character, I enjoyed him saying how Sauvage and the other fella (forget his name) were inspirational for him

Kurt Fearnley. Another top bloke, gave someone I know’s kid an old racing wheelchair he had and supported them to compete.

Tame was a surprising choice and she turned out to be a bloody awful sulking idiot.
Alcott embodies what this award is about…he is a champion on and off the court and loves the country to death. He will be a terrific ambassador and through his multiple platforms, will get shit done. Massive congrats to him.

The original post made it political and the lack of self awareness in and post that has been dripping down the walls.

Since Mick Fuller's mate posted about me a while back I have refrained from being political until today.

I am currently channeling the very forward @Tiger-Tragic internally whilst remembering his response a while back to another BS attempt by the OP pretending to be apolitical with a post elsewhere. At the same time a list of reasons why our previous AOTY ended up spending most of it angry and why it turned personal roll around my head.

Not going to bother pointing out the many, many aspects of that reality, but will say that it was disgusting from one to bring her relationship with a fellow victim that was left dishevelled and unconscious in parliament into it as being wrong. Ms Higgins was just another young woman, one among thousands of other individuals (of both sex) inspired directly by an incredible young person in Grace Tame to come out of the shadows of their shame.

To keep it reasonably short, anyone who doesn't understand yet may need a couple of daughters or a talk with Jenny who might be able to clarify things for them. Else because this is a footy forum, maybe try to remember the similar steely look in the Parramatta dressing room left no doubt of her feelings towards the same man which she later explained.

Yes, as I first wrote in this thread, he is a great choice.

If he can, and I think he will, do as much both individually and collectively in raising both awareness and strengthening the lives of the affected as his predecessor, he too will be a great success.

Not only will he succeed in that area, he’ll do it with grace.

Just did a google search on Grace Tame cos that’s how up to date I am. I note she’s a advocate for survivors of sexual assault. Weren’t there rape allegations in Parliament about a year ago that he completely stuffed up on? No wonder she looks like he just farted.

Oh hell, where to start? I assume you're some old guy, like me, but I don't want you to think, for a nano-second, that your derogatory comment of Grace Tame is representative of how we think.

I would like to think that the country that Allcott "loves to death" is not the one represented by you and your vile attitudes and comments about the 2021 AoTY.

And, for some bizarre reason, you then want us to trust your judgment of the quality and character of Alcott and what he can do in his role as 2022 AoTY.

Grace Tame and Dylan Alcott are, from my understanding of them and their achievements and aspirations for my country, are magnificent people devoted to current and future change in this place. Unlike you, they have the capacity, courage and support of many, many others to help them make us a better place.

Please keep the emotion out of your replies if you want to be taken seriously.

That's too funny. So YOU describing Grace Tame, 2021 AoTY, as a "bloody awful sulking idiot" is not emotive language?

I am talking about your replies.

And, I am talking about your comments that generated my replies. Disgraceful, contemptible and appalling by my standards.

Wow, I predict a heart attack in your near future.
