By no way is Idris overated  if you want proof tune in at 9.30 this friday night.
Seriously though he has been very good this season for the dogs - why the hate for him???

Daniel Mortimer is about as dangerous as a wet tissue. Idris missed a few games but I think at this stage he is a much better player.

 funniest post this week. Mortimer is a gun, weighs 65 kg's wringing wet, tackles blokes head on twice his size, runs all day, can kick, pass, run, has pace and can read a game of football. And best of all, he seems to have a bloody good head on his shoulders. This kid is the next big thing.

Mortimer…..............daylight...............Dugan

Mortimer will get it and rightly so.

He came up from the 20s and grabbed the opportunity with both hands.

Gees Parra have produced some bloody good junior talent the past few years.

2005 Rookie of the Year: Tim Smith
2006: Jarryd Hayne
2009: Daniel Mortimer?

Idris started the season well, then he got injured and when he came back he wasn't as good because his fitness had dropped. He will be a good player again when he gets his fitness back. Could happen pretty soon too.

NRL.com has a poll going:

With just two rounds remaining who is the front-runner for Rookie of the Year?

1\. Jamal Idris - 25%
2\. Kevin Locke - 7%
3\. Daniel Mortimer - 55%
4\. Josh Dugan - 7%
5\. Kevin Gordon - 5%

Dugan is the best of that lot by far.

He's only considered because of the massive media love in after he had early season form. The Dogs score all their points down the other side of the field with Slippery Josh Morris and Lord Bryson Goodwin. Jarrod Croker has shown up plenty of rep quality players in his weeks in the top grade. His schooling of Hodges springs to mind imediately. Does he have a media love in around him? no. Does he do a better job than Idris? yes.

Someone clearly doesnt like him.
**Hes been almost unstoppable at times**.

Ayshford no chance for rookie of the year, hes got a looonnng way to go

I like Raiders Josh Dugan, but hey, parra ARE flavour of the month eh, so Mortimer it is

LMAO at the highlighted, it doesnt even make sense? he has been almost unstoppable at times? LMAO ahhhhh one of your best ink, Idris is over rated you will see over the next 2 years when his "tubbyness" catches up to him **cough yilleen gordon cough**

I hope for your sake the Tigers handle him on Friday night.

Sooo…....... I take it by all this Moritimer, Dugan, Idris talk..Elmo didn't get a nomination....

Meh..Dugan the best of that lot ...IMO Mortimer close second................Idris....

Gareth Ellis....second rower of the Year......

For me the best is Dugan. He always breaks the first tackle, he looks dangerous, supports his players well, makes a lot of metres (Most in the comp i think) and he doesnt make a lot of errors.

Mortimer has had a great year, but i also think Hayne and Fuifui have made him look good too.

Jarrod Croker would be 3rd on my list followed by Idris, Gordon, and then Locke.

A lack of comprehension and an inability to debate a simple topic means you have sfa…come back with a valid counter argument boot off nuffy

Im talking about now, in 2 years time he'll be ineligible for rookie of the year, nostradamus.
