Beau finally gets a run at FB

I thought he was very impressive last night. He seemed to be in everything.

Well done Beau! He can stay fullback, and we can have Tuiaki and Tuqiri on the wings!
 
I'm a huge Beau ryan fan. He is safe, reads play well, and 99 times out of 100 pokes his head through the denfence. He played great at fullback. He was backing up everywhere too, you could see himloving the freedom. Plus he is hilarious!!!
 
Beau was great. Hope he stays at fullback. When Hodgo said Beau for fullback, I thought - nah. But now I say - YES!

Should never have doubted the words of the great Hodgo! :laughing:

Those stats have since been updated…24 runs for 248 metres. The most by a Tiger in a VERY long time.
 
Beau was great last night.

With stats like those, I reckon Sheens is figuring out a way of putting him on the front row.
 
apart from wanting to see arana or laz in this game i wanted ryan at fullback.

good to see him play a blinder.
really got in and did the dirty work.we have so much flash in our team that the dirty work too often gets overlooked.

What awesome stats…...looked like he had a fantastic game, but not that good....
Everyone is right.....he has to stay at fullback....But...."How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria" Benji" kicking?

i think it is more mental with benji.

i thought i read somewhere on the weekend that taylor found a few faults and he was kicking well at practice and wasn't bringing that technique on game day.

if that is true,then i think benji will get through this and become alot more dependable.
 
Im haoppy with him back there. He was pretty good for what was thrown at him. He didnt get tested under the high ball so if he handles that when a team throws them at him he should earn the spot full time. It also solves an issue as to where Moltzen should be. Sheens needs to keep Moltzen at 7 and let Lui earn his spot back in if he can. We cant keep everyone…..we just need to keep the right people. Lui or Moltzen, not both and for mine its an easy choice.
 
His best attribute was his positional play. He either caught most balls on the full or within one bounce which enabled him to gain massive metres on kick returns.

His only criticism is his ball playing ability. Sheens likes his fullbacks to be ball players which add a different dimension to the teams attack.

He has earned his right for another go at fullback.

Last year he was mud and now he is the golden boy.

I am guilty of this too simon… but I still wouldn't want Ryan on the wings...

That said... I am VERY happy to see him occupy the number 1 jersey as his performance at FB was brilliant the other night and was the best display of anyone else in that position post-hodgson... by MILES!
