My issue is more the succession plan Wests Tigers has for once Benji moves on/retires. There's no doubt that Moses and Brooks are good enough to take over at some point but the question will be: Can Wests Tigers balance the books in order to retain Marshall for the short term whilst holding onto both Brooks and Moses? That is what I'm interested in.
I've got no doubt it can be done. It's a balancing act which will require the club to look into the future and project where certain players will be in 2-3, 4 years time talent wise. If the club goes out and re-signs Benji and then admits it can't keep both Brooks and Moses, well it's a poor decision purely because from a Business point of view it makes more sense to secure your long term assets over your short terms assets.
Brooks and Moses have proved nothing in first grade. Good luck with that idea.
In all likelyhood they will wind up added to the list of Wests Tigers' forum armchair experts NRL superstars of the future. Along with Blake Lazarus. Sean Meaney. Jacob Miller and so on.
Keeping benji is the best step the club can take to getting back to success.
