Benji Deserves the Accolades

can we return grub to the dogs and get a full refund, or can we get him medically retired. lol

You need backup and competition for spots. Lets see what he offers before we condemn him.

It’s great to see a player in the twilight of his career excelling while using all his knowledge and experience to control not only his team but the game itself, well done Benji.

But he gave up a 7 tackle set…

He was very controled ..the wind was howling and very difficult he and Brooks bombs on the 5th were very difficult to handle especially in the 1st half..

Well done..

Hugely influential in both games. Without him I honestly doubt we win. He is playing like a halfback when grub comes back I think he should replace Brooks.

Benji is a 5/8 pure and simple - he should stay there. It's difficult to see Reynolds forcing his way back into the side.

He’ll definitely be on the bench. Straight swap for McIlwrick.

He's been very impressive. He's matured enormously since his last stint and playing for the team - and doing a terrific job at it.

Played well ,MOM for sure.

JR is going to struggle for a spot. However, what IC said about Nofoaluma, referring to bringing players up that can do the job as well as the one they are replacing should injury occurs.

At this pace I expect there will be some saw guys after the opening rounds. So depth is great.

Cream rises to the top. Never overplayed his hand. No flash, no low percenters .. just an absolute rock solid performance. Cant fault tonight.

Welcome home Benj

4 things

1\. He has a coach telling him what he needs him to do and making him accountable rather than him telling the coach what he wants to do. Learnt this from Mary and Bennett and Ivan is reinforcing it
2\. He has a genuine agressive no holds barred forward pack in front of him now gaining an advantage and that gives him options and more time to make the right decisions
3\. He has a genuine passion for this club and wants to make a difference on the field and is most certainly showing that first 2 games. He guides us around the park not Brooks or anyone else
4\. West’s Tigers must have got some intell on AAMI as it was not fluke he put up those spiral bombs and both the winger and Slater couldn’t handle them

True, but I would hate to have seen the penalty count if Reynolds was playing tonight!

5\. he seems determined to finish a winner at the club and gets his fans back. A mission of forgiveness if you will

Yes agree on 5\. You can see it in his eyes all game . He wants to go out a winner in a team and not just be remembered for a flick pass in 2005
