Off the back of two of the best years of his career where he was killing it. He got his contract and he doesn’t care anymore

Up until this season I was happy to back Brooks. Now it's clear more than ever things have to change.

Pretty sure Madge knows that, as insiders have already stated halves are a priority for him.

Tonight was just evidence that Benji needs to call time on a very good career soon. The speed of the game against the top sides is finding him out far too often. This would be masked to an extent if our forwards consistently rolled forward but it's a roster spot we need to free up for next season.

My biggest gripe with Madge, he is star struck with Benji, Benji is way past being an NRL half.
Two problems we have, one Benji wants to play again, two Madge seems happy to stroke Benji’s ego.
We are not making the 8 with Benji this year at 35, next at 36 is laughable, plus he is holding the club back.
Benji can say he will play next year as a back up, that is just lip service, he thinks he is a starting half, it will be a PR disaster on and off the field if he plays, we need the roster spot anyway.
If Benji really loves the club he retires, but Benji is all about Benji and he wants to play on
