Benji Marshall #70

It’s a wise move the two best players in Wests Tigers history in Farah and Marshall at the club. Important from a branding perspective along with culture. The club needs identity and a message former players want to be involved. Sharp rugby league minds around the place will not hurt with player development and possibly recruitment.

He should of never have left, the first or the second. He will be a wonderful ambassador, mentor, & idol . Welcome back, you add what we need, intelligence, presentation, honesty and integrity. West Tigers history in the flesh.

Im not sure if Im making something out of nothing, but is it cool to potentially out someones RL identity here? If they wanted to publish their RL identity they would. They might want to stay anonymous here?

If he are putting it out on the internet I don't think he is trying to hide who he is.

But did he put his identity here?

Its very possible Im overthinking this.

I think you are, people can link to other sites and comments on here. If I were to post the same thing under different names on different sites I couldn't really be upset when people made the link. Kind of like when I started posting Ambush stuff on here or doing the podcast and people made the link and now know my real name etc. I put that info out there that allowed them to make that link.

No problem.....overthinking complete.

Posts from other sources ..forums, twitter facebook ets need to be linked..It's that simple.. same as article's acknowledging the Author..

This club has be soulless for way to many years as we all have been complaining about .
I believe this is being addressed at long last bringing back the master that gave our club the greatest success and the greatest player that has worn our jersey .. then the grittiest player in Farah that bleeds for the club to boot .. I say yes the soul train is on the way !

Agree

We now have more coaches, ambassadors and officials than players. Shame we don’t have the same success signing players

Maybe that’s about to change … if feel real change in the air maybe the sleeping giant is starting to wake up at long last !

Absolutely correct. Add Sheens to that and you immediately dive into the soul of Wests Tigers. Player signings are much more likely to come now with these three in leadership/management roles at the club. Woohoo!

Finally a role that won't see the ball passed to the second row of the stands or ball kicked on the third tackle.

Fantastic appointment. Really good work. Club kicking goals. Luke Covell style.

What's next? Aaron Woods welcomed back with fanfare as our new forwards coach?

I can just imagine how Luke Brooks will be feeling.

Marshall: "Hey Luke. It doesn't matter that you get the ball on the clutch play and kick it out on the full or pass it 14 rows into the grandstand, as long as you throw a miracle flick pass and find a winger like Patty Richards good enough to catch it, your legacy and superannuation here is sealed. I look forward to working with you, bro"

Maybe Benji may help Luke succeed?

Mate I hope you are right, but till we actually sign a couple of very good NRL standard players, I think the giant may remain asleep.

Soooo , which one becomes head coach and which one becomes the CEO ? Calling it now , benji will be head coach at some point , and Robbie will be running the club .

For me the main reason I like this is the fact he and his friends at Fox won't be bagging us weekly on NRL on Fox.
Not sure this is going to work out well for Madge as I can see Benji in Sheen's ear about how Madge so called treated him..

We have a pretty crazy amount of support staff now especially for juniors coming through.

It's good to see Benji also being involved with the pathways system how many times have we heard players say they idolised Benji growing up now whilst as time has gone by some may not have seen Benji in his hay days but their parents would have and this could make the difference of a junior signing on with WT'S.

Maybe Benji and Maguire don't have the broken relationship the media keeps pushing.

Reminds me of when they used to say Farah and Benji don't get along.
