Benji Marshall and his silly PowerBalance bands

Kul - what do you think organised religion is? they're selling a product for gain, life after death. You can say this is immoral and blah, blah, blah - at the end of the day if it makes some peoples life a little easier to deal with, then so be it.

I'm not comparing this to religion. Power Bands are not a religion. I have no problem with anyone having any faith what so ever.

Are you a Christian Kul - Believe in God?, an after life? a son of God that lived 2,000 years ago. What seems crazy to you is the truth to someone else. I noticed you picked on eastern philosophies in you post? why is that?

I was simply quoting what is on their site:

_Power Balance is based on the idea of optimizing the body’s natural energy flow, similar to concepts behind many Eastern philosophies._

I'm an atheist and i'm assuming you are too…, otherwise you're a hypocrite.

Again, i'm not trying to compare this to religion. I never mentioned religion nor do i wish to make any comparisons.
However I find is disappointing that Benji appears to endorse the equivalent of hocus-pocus magic potions that are made of plastic and holograms.

Sure, he can do it, but a disclaimer should be made saying "these bands are for entertainment purposes only"
otherwise he is a guilty as this chick:

Its the club as well….not just Benji.

Wish I was involved in it.

I know! I also get frustrated when I hear about players praying to some old beardy guy in the sky. Totally unscientific and should be banned.

On a tangent, do those funny looking things player wear on their hammys work?

LMAO!!! Great post,on both counts.

Is there a God???

I dont think so…...do the armbands work,I dont think so,do the hammy things work,I dont think so.

But Im not sure......

PS>.......what a nasty thread title....BOOOOOOOOO!!

Wests Tigers are evil then because they endorse Proton Cars and they are death traps. Shame on you Wests Tigers!

$60! Geez, must be sending Benji broke…...

It's like a tennis player who goes through a particular routine before serve. Nadal always runs out and gets a ball from the ballboy to his right and then his left. Why does scott Prince run out to the corner of the field and touch the dirt? Sowards kicking routine? Riddell's arm!

Sport starts are THE MOST superstitious people on the planet. If Benji's is a wristband, its hardly ridiculous seeing some of the other alternatives the players opt for.

My point is, as you put it "can't be scientifially proved" - neither can life after death, a God, his son, reincarnation, karma, etc - but 5.5 billion out of 6.5 billion people believe in one of those things.

So why does this need a disclaimer, and not believing a an imaginary friend (God).

They're just like the Walkinshaw Commodore. Brocky was the king of the mountain, even in his silly blue car with the quartz rock in the engine, so Benji can still be king of the tigers with his silly little wristband.

i dont care what he wears if he plays like this

Yeah I agree, it's mind over matter, if wearing the band gives him mental confidence then by all means wear it.

Proton cars, My daughter has just bought one, two reasons, they fitted her budget and secondly she is a life long Tigers fan, if they were death trap I wish you had alerted the forum sooner as my grandson is a passenger 😕

Yes it was in the 1987 Group A car not the later Walkinshaw car which was silver, it was called a Energy POLARISER and was not fitted to the engine but the chassis and was supposed to bring every thing in alignment in a perfect world

So does anyone here have any scientific evidence that they **don't** work?? :unamused:

What an outrageous proposition.

As if there would be any objective evidence posted on the Tigers forum.

The three simple test they do to prove it works all are based around the fact after the first time they test your balance without it on you are balancing normally. the second time you do it with the band on you are prepared and in the back of your mind thinking you will be better. If then they work for you then you go out and buy one with the confidence now around your wrist feeling more like benji making somepeople peform at a better level. If you are going to buy one go on ebay and get a fake one to test our for 5 bucks dont buy the real thing.
