Benji return

Let's all be serious. There is no chance of Benji returning this season to Wests Tigers in a playing capacity.

It is very early to ask, but if union didn't work out for him, would you accept benji back at the tigers in 2015/16?
Its fair to say he has recaptured some of the form that made him who he is, and with Brooks with him, we have seen how he goes.

Isn't there enough love in the other dressing room Moltz ??

No thank you very much , far happier with our post Benji / Sheens results

Forget about Benji. We are going well without him. I know he has won us a few games but how many has he cost us? Not worth it IMO

I'd take him back, if he came cheap. Best he plays well and slots back in, worst we risked a few bucks.

Stop living in the past.

Benji is a great of our club and represents a lot of great memories but that is the past.

Benji decided to move on with his life and career in union and we have moved on with new players and a new game plan which is working.

He was past his prime in 2013 and I would hate to lose promising juniors to sign him.

Thank you for great memories Marshall but your days as a player with WT is over.

Every club moves on.

I'm really happy with how the team is travelling, but Wests Tigers is more than a Football Team.

I feel the loss of Benji was bigger in terms of corporate support than anyone has let on, and to get him back to the club might bring with it a lot more corporate dollars… Judging by the look of our jersey, I wouldn't blame the club from trying something like this to lift our profile.

Regardless, surely the money on offer in England is too big to refuse?

I think the real question is…would Potter have him back?? And I say why would he?

After all, the guy nearly had him sacked early to mid last year. The stability was all wrong, where-as now the stability really seems to be right amoungst the squad. We have guys like Kapaow who are stoked to be running out in a Tigers jumper and hit the ball up hard.

I am not saying that Benji wasn't a proud tiger, far from it, but he was not good for the culture of the team. He may be better than Anasta, but I bet you he wouldn't play for $200K like Anasta does.

So rugby want to get rid of him. No surprise. We don't want him, or need him nor would he want to return.

Salford were going to offer him $3 million to play there. Why would he turn that down. Then the rumour was that because Flanno was also going to Salford (or whatever UK club it was) that he would secretly be scouting him with a view to negotiating Benji out of his lucrative offer to come back and play for the Sharks. It's just not going to happen.

Wonder if that was Tauber or Benji's bro who started this…? lol

The PR alone would be a plus for WT. He will never be at his peak again but he is not a washed up has been just yet.

Like i said.. Watch this space.

Too much water under the bridge

I know I've joked about it , but it won't happen

Benji won't play under Potter and if Benji started this sideways stuff again I think we would all rush the ground and hurt him

We've all the seen the benefits of playing direct ,why would anyone contemplate going backwards ??

There's no benefit at all for us in Benji returning, none what-so-ever, especially considering we have a few very good youngsters that are coming off contract, we need every spare cent we have to dedicate towards keeping them.
