Best Starting Front Rowers

Just would like to get some thought on who you think are our best starting props and rotation in 1st grade, me personally would go for Galloway and Payten to start with Woods, Fifita, Gibbs and Murdoch-Masilla alternative selections, what do you guys think??? we are blessed with front rower options, would you like to see someone else get a gig as well.

This will be an area of contention in the next few weeks once Gibbs returns. Does he start or does he sub with Payten after 25min and plays the rest of the game? The biggest question comes with who stays on the bench and who goes to Reggies/20's? Out of the remaining 3, they all offer something different, but we wont have a bench with them all sitting on it…

I'm a Woods fan, but Fifita has started the season great and probably should keep his spot ahead of the other 2, he has earnt it!!!

Golloway & Fifita. Start Gibbs in the backrow with Al Schirnack and Dwyer to the bench.

When Ellis returns drop Al to the bench, Dwyer to Reggies.

When Fulton returns straight to the bench

BMM to play NYC unless injuries dictate otherwise. Kid had zero off season and will lack fitness in a big way

Oh and Woods to be a permanent bench fixture

Full strength

8\. Fifita
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Ellis
12\. Gibbs
13\. Heighno

14\. Fulton
15\. Payten
16\. Woods

How do you rate Benjamin Murdoch - Massilla he was awesome last year in the U20's as well?? he scored a couple of great tries agains the Northern Eagles at Blue Tongue Stadium last year, even though we lost the game.

See what your saying Watto but i think that Fifita is more effective off the bench later in half running at overworked halves and backs if he makes a break you can add big metres to it . Woods is just set up beautifully as a starting prop to soften sides up for Fifita . Agree Fifita has been great this year though .

I would love to see Fifita running out wide. or even running back on the angle like Ellis was last year

so i guess that would make him backrow.

put Gibbs to prop.

i dont think it matters what numbers they have on

I like this option. It gives us a massive starting pack with basically 3 front rowers. I can see why you would put Fifita on the bench however I think he adds a different type of player and that will work well with Gibbs and Galloway.

Payten adds defence and skill when he comes on.

Fulton will be under pressure to keep his spot from the likes of the Schirnack brothers, Dwyer, BMM & Moors.

8\. Galloway
10\. Woods (is he ready?)
11\. Ellis
12\. Gibbs
13\. Heighno

14\. Fifita
15\. Dwyer
16\. Payten
17\. Back

Don't rate Fulton very much TBH, I reckon he's a liability in defence even though he runs great runs. Just because Dwyer is younger and has more potential over Fulton, I would have him but any more clumsy penalties or errors and he is outa here…

and I would want Al Schirnack personally instead of the back.

Once BMM gets fit he will be hard to ignore.

I agree.

I think by semi finals time we will look a little like this

8.Gibbs
9.Farah
10.Galloway
11.Ellis
12.Murdoch
13.Heighington

14.Woods
15.Fafita
16.Payten
17.Fulton

I like it.

Woods' work ethic is certainly handy early. I'd love to see him get more minutes. Fifita seems to have greater impact at the end of each half.

I seriously would like to see Fafita come out on the fringes late (around 50-60 minutes) and expose the tired 80 minute players at the back and on the edges.

How good to be in this situation after all those years when we couldn't buy a prop for love nor money! I'd stick with Galloway and Gibbs (when he returns) as starting props and use the young guns for impact off the bench, at this stage.
