I think Blore is overrated by our supporters. Seyfarth to me isn't overrated at all. He is a goer.

I really doubt Madge is holding Blore back. He has gotten heaps of opportunities. He needs to do a lot more.

Our season is over though. I'd be giving Blore heaps of game time. Let's see if he has it or not. I'd also give Tulliagi some chances as well.

He has done nothing. Diddly squat. I reckon he needs more chances though.

He has had plenty of chances too. He seems to make his tackles though and that is why I'd give him a lot more time.

You can't just be a defensive edge backrower. We need some attack off him as well.

Backrow a problem.

Gildart lol ......

You can't fix a problem if you don't have the tools to do it

Blore has picked up an injury every time he's had a chance to have a run of games.
He'd have started the year in the 13 if he didn't get the hand/wrist (memory fails me) injury in pre-season.

Blore may be overrated compared to what he has done in 1st Grade to date but I'm telling you this guy (if he stays injury free) will be an absolute gun & team leader. He has had minimal opportunity to show his wares this season & has had to build up his tank & confidence. Give him time, he has all the ingredients!

The club has really tried in relation to our centres. We've taken punts on JTJ and BJ. We've given Talau and Kepaoa chances. We've give Pauga chances. They've played AD there as well.

We don't have the cattle in the centres. I'm starting to think we have to play AD there. It's not good but what choice do you have.

I'm not as concerned with our backrow but it's our second weakest area. I think we have better options in the backrow. It's not good though.

I hope we are looking at the best development players available in those positions. Target them and go hard at them. We've done that with Blore, Laurie and Stef.

I've seen him in reserves and he didn't have those issues. I don't think he has been that bad. The positives are he is big and mobile. To me he is already better than Twal and Tamou. I'd be building our middle forwards around Stef and Seyfarth.

I agree with this. He needs more chances. I'm starting to worry though and I was hopeful he'd take one edge backrow spot. Maybe he is a lock forward and not an edge player but honestly that isn't what we need.

As of right now, Blore is a solid backrower. With limited opportunities he has shown he can defend and make decent metres off of his carries. Our backrowers are the epitome of inconsistent, offensively or defensively. He has a high ceiling that he has not reached as of yet, but I wouldn't have expected him to with the injuries and limited time he has had on the field. I would have him starting on an edge.

Blore can't be worse than Luciano.

Time to experiment, Blore and Tuilagi to start in back row this week. There's nothing to lose.

LL ...can be an attacking dynamo....

In defense a huge liability....no good making metres and doing the hard yards just to let opposition players palm you off or out play you and score points through you...

Sounds a lot like a winger we've got.

He has been... sensational? How? He is not damaging in attack and is consistently slow and tired in defence. He is part of the problem. So is Tamou. So is Talau. So is Ofa. They are stealing their paychecks.

Not damaging in attack is just wrong. He is denting the line and carrying defenders when he runs. He's not a great defender and when he's surrounded by other poor defenders it just makes it even worse.

He's certainly one we need to hold onto though, I've been screaming about reducing his minutes for weeks now.

I used to love Luc but if he left I don’t think it would be much of a loss. We need to upgrade both 2nd rowers

Would definitely make us weaker if we lost him. Don't know why a guy who clearly isn't the fittest and best defender is constantly being pushed to play 80 in the fastest iteration of rugby league we've ever seen.

Not a big Garner fan this year. Feel like he's been very ineffective and quiet, we for sure need a quality second rower.

He’s good in attack against poor teams. Easily contained by anyone half decent.

Ran 133 metres against Souths with 5 tackle breaks. 113 metres against Storm. 160 metres against eels

The bloke is an attacking weapon against anyone. Whether he's on the bench or not, reduce his bloody minutes while the rules are how they are. Think it's one of the reasons he looked better last year compared to this one

If he was given a rest and used as an impact player as he should be, he would probably produce similar numbers in attack with out any where near as many defensive lapses.

trouble is mate ...he should be able to start, come in at the middle or the last 25 mins... doesnt matter he is an NRL player being paid and played to do the best for his team...if Madge starts giving into them then we go back to square one and let the players dictate what they want...
its not that hard...80 mins is a game time that you must be up for if not ...then your not worth being called an NRL player...give it your best for as long as your out there ...in our days it was an expectation...and that was for $50 a win, nothing for a draw or a loss,,,we still had to be there for the whole game unless injjuries took hold,,,

the game is starting to be refined for the pussies...

Lucy unfortunately hasn't developed into the player we thought he would. Not as potent in attack as he used to be and his defence has deteriorated badly. I think moving forward he's an interchange player. I wouldn't be rushing to re-sign him.

He is incredibly overrated by our fans. He is easily handled by oppositions, and can't defend. What else are we seeing?

100%

Have wanted for him to be coming off the bench for the slimes game and since. He had gotten rid of the knee strapping for the donkeys game and went better, but that was against a poor attacking team and resumed normal programming since.

Still carrying too much lard. Needs to strip down to 105-108kgs. He will be far more dynamic at this weight.

Luch isnt the issue, our entire Defence is an issue.

Teams roll through the centre easily and then flick it out wide for the score almost every game

Luch is a major issue for us. He can’t play 80mins and he doesn’t hold his position in defense. He comes infield more often than he should and gets found out quickly. He also stands back rather than come forward when defending which then creates a problem with AD and the center due to how much space is left for them to cover.

Agree, he either needs to come off around the 25 minute mark for a break, or comes off the bench as a strike player. The lack of football for Tuilagi and Blore is the other isssue Madge needs to contend with as none of our backrowers have 80 minutes in them.

I wonder if there is any merit in shifting Talau onto an edge as he's mobile and fit?

I think Talau would be a very solid backrower if give. A season to bulk up and fill into the role.

Re Blore and Tuilagi they need to be played, if we are serious about there development and position moving forward as part of the nrl pathways with our injuries they have to get a run.

Letting them waste away with any footy for the next 8 weeks would be dumb and set them back.

Blore has really gone off the boil don’t know if he has an injury or whatever but it’s becoming a real concern.

Talau needs to learn how to het his hands dirty.
He has no tackling technique.
On current form he would be a liability in the forwards.
Needs time in lower grades ……
