Bj Leilua To Tigers ??

Sheens has been looking for a TNT clone for some time, maybe that is the plan. I see him yet as another depth player that will not win you the holy grail. What cap space we have must be directed at players who want to win and know how to win. At present we have plenty who want to but none who know how to

I fear we have another Mitch Brown in BJ.

For the price of almost two Mitch Browns…

I think he'd have more impact than Brown, but have more mistakes in him than Brown did.

If cheap he's a good pickup, but if its more than the 200k the roosters offered him it sounds like overs.

makes Braith Anasta look like a bargain if that's the case.

Once again signing players in positions that we don't need,, Hello we need props and a halfback?? not more wingers 2nd rowers 5/8 and centres

Agree 100% Golden, I wondered why we spent money on another five eighth when we purportedly have the best five eight around :crazy We want forwards, not backs, I just don't understand :exclamation:

Guys, Sheens isn't perfect but he has taken the Tigers to a top 4 position the last 2 years. I am inclined to take his judgement over yours where recruitment is involved. Agree though, we need a half and prop.

He may just have his TNT clone in the NYC with Sitaleki Akaoula. He's 105kg and has just been converted from a front rower to a winger with Koroibete out injured.

I'd be happy with this signing. He'll be 21 and have around 50 first grade games (including a Grand Final and potentially some Tests) under his belt if/when he arrives. He'd add some spark and be ready made for our starting line-up by the time Heighington finishes up. I think this is good succession planning if true.

I was told that Roosters would only go to $200,000 to retain BJ. Tigers offered substantially more. So BJ will be a Tiger next year. The Roosters retention and recruitment team, headed by O'Sullivan will only pay a player what they think they are worth to the team. They put a price on each player and that is all they are willing to pay. If the player thinks they are worth more and can get more then elsewhere then thats that. The days of paying overs for players are seemingly over.

is this a joke, O'Sullivan made his name by paying every promising junior player, from league or union more than everybody else to get him over the line. His reputation is the reverse of what you are saying in relation to not paying overs for players.
They are reputably offering SBW more than any other player in the league.

This is the same guy that thought John Morris would be a good half back and stuck with that idea for 2 1/2 years, just saying

Yeah ok fair call. I dont like thinking back to the Morris days….

When we had Morris were thee better options though in all due respects to our recruitment team. We were after Goldwyn at the time but Morris was pretty much all that was left when princet went

This is now gathering steam and rumours have it that it is a signed, sealed deal. I think he'd be good for the club but it also calls into question some players future within the squad, if he plays wing does that mean Lote is not going to be renewed? Does it mean positonal changes for a few guys like Ashyford into the forwards…shaping up as an interesting 2013 season already...

is this effective immediately, or for 2013?

\
…. wait a sec...
\
\
so if he's a replacement for Lortay, whats going on with Koroibete?

This is all speculation at this stage, there's nothing on twitter that i can find, except some random with no credability saying its so.
