Well said Chadman's Ghost! There was a definite need to freshen up the roster. I only hope that the Fonz can get the revamped squad to play to their potential and combine solid go forward with some clinical finishing.

But if they were still selling it as a T-Bone I'm pretty sure I'd be able to take them to court for misleading information.

Also, as I am not a child, you have no right to tell me to 'Grow up', kind of an immature comeback actually so maybe you need to heed your own advice.

But as a member of the club I probably **am** entitled to know what's going on the at the club i.e. public record and freedom of infomation just like any corporation that has shareholders. i.e. If I enquire I should be able to get access to Annual Reports, minutes of club meetings, attend the AGM etc.

Or if I wanted to become and investor / sponsor I'd think that I would be able to get access to the clubs financial records etc to determine if was worth investing.

The only person who has 'NO RIGHTS' is you acting as a bully behind your moderator status on a supporters forum FFS - like that makes you high and mighty.

I cannot fathom how you think you should be entitled to know what's going on at the club behind closed doors. Wave the freedom of information act if you wish, but the club is entitled to confidentiality on many issues, including that of player contracts and particular financial information.

Either support the club or don't. The Wests Tigers certainly do not have to divulge information to any of us and that does not bother me one bit in the slightest. I support the team regardless of whatever media headlines grace the internet and hardcopy media.

willow, get of your high horse, no one wants to know the inner workings of the club. what we want to know is the true about whos going, and not been told he staying and the next thing were told he is signed with another club.every one knows the club has to work behind closed doors so other clubs dont get wind to whats going on but the ceo has been, lying to the supporters and that hard to take.

It's call transparency. Most corporations make a point of it these days rather than having more secret handshakes than the local Masonic Centre.

Part of building a better customer experience and improving company image.

Suppose you want to know the secret 11 herbs and spices in KFC are also . If you aren't happy with the club vote with your feet Don't become a member . The club owes us nothing bar good performances on the field and good amenities at the stadiums and good hospitality at the venues .

Yes if when the rumours had started the club had said "we're going to make some big changes, lose a number of players and sign some new ones" then we would have expected something, but all along they kept denying it saying players had been re=signed and were still under contract. Technically they were but in the back ground the club knew what it had planned but they twisted the truth rather than just saying there were big changes afoot.

That is not being transparent and for mine is dishonest and akin to lying.

Call it something else if it makes you feel better.

I will take anything that Humphreys says with a grain of salt.

No they don't.

We even have garden leave at my firm so that our info doesn't get out.

It's called being competitive…and I would prefer my club to be competitive then satisfy my selfish urge for knowledge.

Forced 3-6 months paid vacation mate when changing jobs so that you don't transfer your knowledge or strategies over to the new firm straight away. I work for a hedge fund. Its common in finance but probably not many other industries.

so wheres the good performances,smarty?

BP by all means have a shot at Humphreys and Sheens for our performances I do But the signings we have just got to roll with the punches If they get them wrong Humphreys and possibly Sheens is gone anyway so don't worry about it .

From Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transparency_%28behavior%29
Corporate
>
Corporate transparency, a form of radical transparency is the construct of removing all barriers to —and facilitating of— free and easy public access to corporate, political and personal information and the laws, rules, social connivance and processes that facilitate and protect those individuals and corporations who freely join, develop and embellish the process.
>
Management
>
Radical transparency is a management method where nearly all decision making is carried out publicly. All draft documents, all arguments for and against a proposal, the decisions about the decision making process itself, and all final decisions, are made publicly and remain publicly archived.
>
Sports
>
Sports has become a global business over the last decades, and here, too, initiatives ranging from doping tests to the fighting of sports-related corruption are gaining ground on the footsteps of transparency activities in other domains.

So I guess it will take time for Sports Clubs to catch up to the same level of transparency of big corporations but….

dude. I work in finance. We have guys lock away in a glass box so no one knows what the he'll they are doing, even from people inside the firm. We just had a GFC that was compounded because no one had any idea of what a bunch of guys we're doing with MBS's and CDS's.

I think you need to pick a different industry to try to make your point.

Yeah sorry, I.m off point too. But anyway, the club owes us nothing! These kind of business deals are crucial, sensitive and need to be kept behind closed doors unless you want every club trying to drive up the price of players we are poaching.

I want to sell nix his next car.
However, he has to make a public announcement beforehand stating what the very top dollar he is prepared to pay is and exactly how much knowledge he has regarding what is and isn;t mechanically sound.
If he doesn;t stick to these statements I can accuse him of not being transparent.

A simple "we're planning some big changes, losing a few and signing a few players" would not have identified anyone or driven anyone's price up or down.

Anything that is price sensitive and that could affect the bargaining power of the club should be left within the hands of those who are repsonsible for negotiating.

But by all means, wave your flags and demand transparency and I guarantee any player this club shows interest in will be snapped up by paper bags from underneath Politis' desk or will have brand new homes built on the same street as Prince, courtesy of Michael Searle of course.

The demands of some on here are completely unreasonable and laughable. Five years ago we wouldn't have been able to (financially or performance wise,) been able to attract the quality of players like Blair, Ellis or Tuqiri, and now people are whinging because the club is securing talent like Blair to lead from the front.
