Blake Austin - Outstanding Interview

How about a Link?

Or you could name the site its on?

or just wave vaguely in the general direction we might find it?

Quite right. It is an impressive interview.

He has got a good head on his shoulders.

One of my favourite players Atm He doesn't look the smartest but seriously you wouldn't find a smarter guy on the footy field. He is also very straight to the point and tells it how it is.

With Moses here it is a problem going forward, what a shame he isn't a centre he seems a champion bloke and clubman.

The club has invested a lot in Moses so he will probably be fast tracked into the 6 role, but I think Austen may have caused them to re think the situation a little. At full strength he will at least be our n014 but the challenge will be keeping him when his next contract is up for grabs because he will probably be able to demand and get a starting no6's type money.
I rate him as one of our really good signings and is certainly a lot better than some players we have spent double on over the years

It's certainly a nice problem to have. I wish we had the same dilemma with our backs.

I don't see a reason why he couldn't play centre if he adapts his defensive game. He struggles a bit with one on one tackles sometimes but his attack speaks for itself.

Also, who knows what the future will bring? What if he kills it at 5/8th and likewise for Moses at fullback which forces Tedesco into the centres?

The obvious thing is Moses and Brooks in the halves but sometimes things don't turn out that way.

In all honesty he looks more confident on the park than he did in that interview.

He didnt saying anything wrong but i wouldnt call that outstanding.

When someone doesnt repeat the same words and fills sentences with umms and errrs they are confident public speakers.

You're right, it is a good interview and he definitely sounded like he's got a good head on his shoulders and a vision for himself and the team.

Will be a shame if we lose him because of this vision though, he's maintained all year that he wants that number 6 jersey, but for obvious reasons its looking unlikely. So I hope we don't lose him to another club that is willing to give him the long term 6 jersey as he's a quality footballer thats still young. But if so, good on him for striving for his goals.
