Blake Austin

Love him as a player. Very busy. Always busy up the middle. Always trying to challenge the line with a run, pass or kick. Ok he has the odd brain explosion, with a selfish option. However I just love the fact he doesn't sit back and injects himself into the game.

The handbreak Anasta whilst a good man to have on the training paddock could not provide half of what Austin does.

You woudl think the combination of Austin, Brooks and Moses could be dynamic if they get confident and the forwards keep rolling.

I really rate the kid, he's very talented and a smart footballer (evident by the fact he can play a number of positions well). My fear is that when Teddy comes back into the fold he may be the one left out and go play his football elsewhere. He's too good a player to sit in reserve grade.

Facts are our best combo is Teddy, mosses, brooks the only real option for Austin is 14…. Or to another club he us too gods for NSW cup

Next year. Tedesco Austin Brooks Moses. Only 3 positions unless we run one on the bench, hope not though. But don't have an answer. It's going to be interesting.

Only good part of that is mr coragous, he of the big heart (moltzen), is no chance of getting a run

If Moses fills out well and can stop getting bullied on kick returns he's as good if not better than Tedesco as a fullback. He is a better support runner and better playmaker. Not as fast, and not as good a running game obviously.

1\. Moses
4\. Tedesco
6\. Austin
7\. Brooks?

yeah it's going to be tough next year, trying to fit Blake and Moses. Blake has proven to be a pretty damn good utility, he'll at least be on the bench, but if he wins the 5/8 spot, I can't see Moses getting a bench spot.

There is plenty of Tedesco hype.

However, we had a fullback that sey up 5 tries today.

And Blake is durable and a quality player.

We are very lucky to have him as a "backup"

I'd just use Austin on the bench . Let's just pray they all stay fit for next year !

No worries. He would also make a very good lock forward.

Well we're all saying that we need another gun outside back. Tedesco to the centres and all of a sudden we're sweet.

1\. Moses
2\. Nofoaluma
3\. Tedesco
4\. Simona
5\. Richards
6\. Austin
7\. Brooks

That's a backline that would tear it up huge next year.

yeah that does look pretty darn good based on today's result

I see him as the back-up player to our spine. Moses has him covered after only a few games, even though playing in another position, it is as plain as day from the stands.

Not only is Moses also a good runner, his talk, positional play, passing game and organisational abilities are already far above that of Austin, even at this early stage. Blake only has an advantage in defence, and even then not that much of one.

One thing is for certain, Teddy will be playing no1 and Brooks no7 in 2015, so Austen and Moses will be fighting for the no6 and no14 jumpers, but as I said before with Austen being able to cover the whole spine and our history with injuries it will not be a issue

Moses is a gun and has to be in the team. I figure Tedesco has to be there as well.
I reckon Austin is great but where do you play him ?
