My opinion he can fill two weakness, I see him as a running centre and our goal kicker.

At Canberra scores a try on average every second match.

Appears to be a good bloke and very competitive

For the right price (ie Canberra footing some of his wages) Yes from me.

Marshall and Tui are the next go to options.

Gamble is a super talent but i see him as utility at this early stage of his career, he will most likely have to wait until mid season to get a chance.

What I’ve read are endless posts trying to push this kid into first grade. Not sure why you think it’s ridiculous- I too can post my opinion. You have an opinion on Gamble. I think you’ve overstated that opinion. As was once famously quoted: it is what it is.
 
He was absolutely grilled about Potter in his last year here and stood much taller than the Big 4, Farah, just about anybody actually.

He’s got character and would add to our depth as a utility type player.
 
I was wondering how long after Austin was dropped that we'd see a thread on here. Answer is about 3 minutes.

It's ridiculous because although I have a strong opinion of Gamble ive also been measured when it comes to his chances of selection.

Back on topic Austin won't be bought by Ceary to play 5/8 it's that simple.

I don't doubt his spirit, I'll always remember that last game at Canberra when Potter was coach and it seemed most of the team was tanking except for Austin who had a red-hot crack.

And while we already have a back up #6 with a 'show and go' in Gamble, he might do the trick as a centre… so at the right price he'd be a good acquisition.

Yes a specialist centre would be great ..but at some stage a quality kicker is going to have to be employed!One position will have to take a hit as a kicker has to move in some where simple as that .

Also - so sorry I took you off topic. Thanks for doing the job of the mods and pointing out the error of my ways.

On topic - you state quite emphatically that Austin will not be signed. To be so strong with your thoughts surely you must have some evidence. What evidence do you have?

I think Austin may move clubs soon. As Canberra want get another player. Don’t know if Austin will come to the WestsTigers or another club that still has space this year.
Which quality goal/kicking centre is available ?

Ok so I just spoke to my source again, he didn’t tell me what the $$$ is

Our deal is 4 years

He and many others are awaiting to see what happens with Ricky, its not a happy camp
