Blake Ayshford to Warriors.

Probably. He's not going to get a game ahead of Konrad and Kata. Depth signing by the looks of it. Could be a chance to transition into the back row the way Lawrence has though.

The have monsters in their centres.
Monsters in their backrow.

and now Blake " SHOULDN'T HAVE LEFT THE TIGERS BRO" Ayshford.

#sheenius.

Bit of an odd one Blake. Seems too slow for the backs, not big enough for the forwards. Would have been a perfect lock 20 years ago. Always remember him playing well at the back end of 2010, thought we had a real star on our hands. Like so many tiger cubs he never lived upto it.

He looked surprisingly quick during the Nines, but that was close to all I've seen of him this year.

Interesting quote by McFadden. "We have also identified the need for more experienced and durable players with the level of professionalism we're after." Not sure if that's blowing smoke, or they genuinely think he will be consistent and a calming influence. I'm guessing the former.

This guy is the forgotten man of League, hasn't even seen much 1st grade at the Sharks.
Thought he had the goods a few Seasons ago with us but crashed and burn.
Won't see much 1st grade at the Warriors me thinks.

After all their big money signings, i was baffled by this one. Oh well… NZ is a great place to live and explore for a couple of years. Good luck to him and his family.

They said he's played 20 games in the last 2 years or something…
Massive flop.
Strange signing.

Really went to water around the time his kid was born. Not blaming that in particular, but was just strange how he never got back to his best after that.

Nah, the kid will keep me young

Does anyone else think this is a crazy signing??

With all the talent burning through that place, and they keep signing fringe first graders that are solid at best. Dont get me wrong, you need these sort of players in your sytem, but they are letting quality players go to sign these guys, and blocking pathways.

Does anyone think Blake (or J wright or M Allwood) is in the same league as Fiisiari, Kevin Locke or Brad Abbey or any number of other blokes they have let go without a fight. Something is amiss thre.

They have potentially a lethal side next year, but dont see how these signings help them.

Brad Abbey is leaving.
Super weird signing for them.

I read Blake's Mrs is from NZ but yeah, do they really need another average centre when they have Wright and Allwood.

Suss to me.

Haha just as long as he doesn't tell the kid that! Could be a strange conversation at the dinner table in a few years…...Kid: 'Hey Dad tell me a bit about your career'. Blake: 'Well I used to be a pretty handy player but it all turned to mud when you were born'.(Kid hangs head in shame and leaves the table).Way to boost the little tackers confidence!

He looked all right the couple of times I saw him for the Sharks this year, solid anyway. When he was defending with Carney that first year it was a nightmare, granted.

And he was Player of the 9s, so…might have been a culture thing at Sharks. Change of scene could help.

Two possibilities I reckon:
1) He's going for peanuts and is genuinely just a reggies/depth if really necessary signing they think will bring a bit of experience and professionalism to their fringe setup.
2) The culture over there sucks so badly that they're now prepared to sacrifice wads of talent for anyone who maximises the (much smaller) talent they have.
