Not sure if anyone watched the Bloke in a Bar round review yesterday, but Brett Finch said something that occurred to me when I heard that the doco was coming out.

He basically said that Wests Tigers should get the basics right before they start making documentaries, and I completely agree with him. The only leeway you can give the management team on this one is that they thought this would be the turnaround year and that it would make great content, however to me it screams of a club/management team that wants the glory before they've done the hard yards. I think it added pressure on Madge and the players and probably wasn't a good move in hindsight.

The Wests Tigers documentary was a terrible reflection of the club.

Yep and I’m sure it was agreed to with a lot of hope for the season ahead. Shows how much belief Madge had in his squad and their pre season. Also showed what is going on in the dressing room which as a fan frustrated by the rinse and repeat narrative in the press conferences was welcome. I didn’t bother watching too many after that because I could picture what was happening in the sheds. I also thought we celebrated success too soon after a scrappy win. The basics win games.

Seriously, have we stooped so low as to use the 'bloke in a bar' podcast as a platform of fact? Have I got that right?

I listened to it...once.....and completely overdosed on a couple of wankers calling each other 'Bro' about four times per sentence. I couldn't do it any longer.

Just my opinion, Bro.

I think the documentary was an EXCELLENT reflection of the club.

No player leader on field, dressing room or in private. That's our biggest problem. Not coach, CEO or anyone else. LEADERLESS!! No one in your peer group to hold you to account for your performance. Some will say thats the coaches job and I agree from the perspective, but in the youngster world, your peers drive you to higher standards.

Two blokes that are not real bright, look at Finch he had a good role at fox and blew it, I would not take notice of anything he has to say, look to Cronk etc if you want to look at an opinion from an ex halfback. Finch is a flog

I said this as the doco was being teased. The whole doco was a comedic piece for other fan bases and a sob story for Maguire. All it showed me is that he swears a lot and Pascoe needs to change barbers. Never should’ve been approved

I think it will be forgotten.
