Fair enough Smeg , but I think our best forward pack to take the field still hasn't been tried

And that is
8 Woods
9 Farah
10 Keefy
11 Sue
12 Fulton
13 Blair (playing tight)

May see it named tonight happy.

I think it is hard to judge any of our backrowers.

With Benji in the halves they see no structured play, they cannot set lines and plays and they use a lot of petrol getting over run and cut out.

He may turn out to be an average player but I believe you only have to look at the improvement of Blair since being shifted to the front row rotation. I thought he was just lazy and dogging it in the backrow but now, looking at how everyone bar Fults (who is a playmaker most of the time) has looked average on our fringes

Gareth Ellis and Todd Payten never looked average , and in reality not much has changed at the Tigers since those days ,essentially apart from Lui we have the same playing personnel in many key positions

Marshall is a shadow of the player he was just two years ago. Ellis was getting great edge balls from Marshall. Our backrowers this year get rubbish, late service.

I thought Thompson played okay last night and I have been critical of him this year.

Former QLD schoolboy who showed plenty of promise when he first came to grade. I wasn't disappointed we signed him and still consider him to have the ability to kill it if he can switch on for a full game.

It has been hit on a few times already, but the guy isnt terrible, but it takes a certain type of player to either a) slot seemlesly into free-wheeling football, or b) be a go to man for a enigma half to look for in the line.

Next yr we truly begin re-building, halves who should play to a directed platform, then go from there. Right now we have zero structure… Its either Benji trying to make it up as he goes and failing miserably, or Farah having enough and doing the same himself and feeding the pack to the sharks around the ruck.

I think a more simplified, structured, and high percentage game, will really bring the best out of Thompson and Blair, along with many others.

Thompson is not a problem, I think he is going well.

Buchanan however is another issue. I thought he was our weakest last night. Does not run with an intensity.

Yep been disappointed by the lack of leg drive in Buchanan even Brandy on FoX notes his drive is poor
