OFFICIAL BOXING DISCUSSION

I saw a few of Velazquez's highlights - I've never seen an overhand right like that outside of a primary school!

Just bizarre...I think it was modelled off that fast bowler who used to play for Sri Lanka.

Still, even though it looked more like a heavy bag workout, Tszyu looked very quick and accurate. So I was happy with that I guess.

I think he needs gradual steps up in opponents' quality and about 3 more fights before being thrown back in the lion's den though, because another loss in the next year or so and I reckon he will be shot then.

Also, "Phoenix"?! Wtf... Cringe.

Tim Tszyu wins points decision after 10 rounds
Just how good is the other guy ?
Didn't see the fight
I wonder if Tim is past his prime as he used to win KO after KO
don't know just asking forum for feedback

Just home from work and was able to... Find... the ppv.

Just watching Callum Peters, who just mauled this guy in the first round. Second now.... Looks loose, but he's young and looking like Rocky in the meat freezer!

Ah they gotta stop this at the end of the 3rd.

Eager to watch Goodman because I reckon he is the real deal. Got robbed of a world title, I think he'll get it soon.

I saw the highlights of Tszyu and he looked as sharp as I've seen him. Looked a total walkover though.

I think even though he was undefeated, the American likely never fought anyone of any note and was a bit of a confidence regainer for...

THE PHOENIX!!

Tszyu Fight:

I could be cynical and suggest Tszyu has had harder sparring sessions and call shenanigans, but that could be depriving him of due credit.

I don't know who the 19 boxers Velazquez beat to be undefeated, but it's safe to say they're well below Tszyu's pay bracket.

It really was a very dominant performance by Timmy (aka THE PHOENIX - he's been hanging out with Nikita too much with that moniker...), but I'll give Velazquez this - he is tough! That gash on his cheek was NASTY.

As it goes, you can only beat the guy in front of you, and it really was the epitome of a guy in total control who looked like he knew there was no way he was losing.

It was an opponent well chosen for him with a record that likely has more padding than the cell they let me out of on weekends.

So while he looked great, really can't judge by that opponent.

Interesting scorecard from one of the judges: 100-91 in a 10 round fight? Not sure how that works... 🤔

Jake Paul handed a reality check. Contract must have said Joshua could only throw two punches a round for the first 4 rounds. Once he got semi serious it was the total mismatch every thought it would be.
