Braith Anasta

Fitting conclusion if that injury is the end of his career. "Partial bicep tear" sounds unfufilled and over stated.

Still, I think he has added value the past two years, simiar to what Scott Sattler brought to the club in 2004\. Further, give credit where credit is due, I enjoyed his discussion with Hayne yesterday when penalised for a lifting tackle.

"Dangerous? Yep, I was really concerned for his welfare on the down in that tackle…."

Boom. Don't agree so much with the second paragraph, but I'm right with you on everything else.

I won't miss him.

If Braith was to be finished it will be a career to be proud of, he won a comp, played a number of tests and origin games.
He is often maligned by the fans, probably because he was labeled the next big thing and didn't quite to those heights.
I think Braith is a good bloke, and a bit like Brett Finch, really popular amongst the players but not really a fan favorite.
He will get a gig in the media and a chance to see how he goes with his golf.

Say what you want about him, but he always had a go no matter who he played for, never once dogged it. He wore a massive target on his head for his entire career for the labels that got put on him at a young age, but that wasn't his fault that the media were trying to make a story out of him. Still went on to have a great career and achieved pretty much everything there is to achieve. I think if you offered a young guy coming up through the lower grades the career Anasta has had, not many would turn it down.

An unfortunate way to finish a career if he has indeed done just that.

Agree .. Would actually be cruel if thats the case.

I know since being a tiger he has copped a lot from us fans but none of us wish his career to come to an end this way

I don't wish injury upon anyone let alone our own players but I think the footy Gods are trying to tell Braith something. Wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Bad to end the way it did (if it is indeed over) but Austin/Moses to 5/8 is what most of us wanted. Works out well.

If that's true Willow, what a shame. No one deserves to have their career pulled short from Injury. Even if its only a few months short.

It might be a better option than finishing up in NSW Cup. If Moses and Austin are going halfway decent, why would you replace them?

Respect Braith Anasta.

There are a lot of knockers in this world. Long story short you played for Aus Nsw and almost 300 FG games. That is more than every contributer to this fan forum.

You conducted yourself with dignity when you're Roosters let you go
Thanks for what you have done here at this young club.

Does that mean we've seen the last of Roosterman on this forum?
Congrats on your career Braith. Never my favourite player, but fair dues to you.

I'll just say what everyone is thinking…Thank God that we will (likely) never see Anasta in a Tigers jersey again!

Well I'm not thinking that you dope.

Anasta was a great player for every club for which he played. Never dogged it, was tough, fair and skillful.

I, for one, wish him and his family well for the future.

I dont know what games you have been watching but you are the dope if you think Anasta was great for us. Never once did he take the pressure of Brooks, infact he had the opposite effect. Only started to run the ball these past 2 weeks, as opposed to his customary 3 tackles for 10 meter gains per game.

But yeah he was great for us lol

Good luck to braith and fults for the future . Sad to see them both leaving the game this way . 2 real cleanskins of the game . On a positive it should free up a fair bit of cash so if our recruitment dept is on the ball it will throw some cash at some classy centres
