Dosent matter ,both are still contracted to Manly ,Brett for next season ,his brother the next two seasons.

I thought both boys had get out clauses in the event of Hasler being moved on.

I heard Johnny Gibbs speaking on the radio this morning, he said they had to exercise the get out clause before November this year so they are staying at manly according to Gibbs.

I would take him in our team any day of the year. He has the ability to score a try from nothing and also create an overlap like few can. His attitude may be bad, but drag him away from his brother and into a team who possess class both on and off the field and he would be a revelation. Can't see him wanting to play for the Tigers though, especially with Blair in our squad.

Lets be honest and un-biased for a second. There have been several incidents over the last couple of months that shows we aren't neccessarily cleanskins, and to say we have 'class both on and off the field' would give supporters from other teams a bit of a chuckle

I agree with the Lui incident but we did the right thing and moved him on, which a lot of other teams cannot take credit for. Lui being the exception and an unprovoked, racist attack on Marshall I can't think of any others? We are forever in the forefront of charity work with kids for cancer and other debilitating diseases and illnesses and have the reputation of being a band of brothers. We rarely play dirty on the field and haven't had any major fights or indiscretions for some time now.
I leave Payten out of this argument as he was officially retired from the Tigers when he disrespectfully took a piss.

How can they excersise the clause before november when Hasler was sacked after november started?

But surely the clause can only be used once Hasler was sacked. This is very poor work by the Stewarts manager if this is the case. So Manly allow a clause in their contract stating they can leave if Hasler leaves, but the clause must be used before November….so they wait until after November to sack Hasler....this basiclly means that Manly were smart and the Stewarts were dumb as, well.........

Lui twice. Don't forget last yr either. What about the Moltzen saga? we didn't neccessarily conduct ourselves with class throughout that period. Other supporters are having a nice laugh. I'm sure Manly would do their fair share of charity work as well

I think the moltz saga is only being blow out of proportion by the forum. Since it's been announced it hasn't been mentioned in papers or news. The only people who maybe still yacking about it is saints. Even this forum has pretty much stopped.

I was on the Drongo's forum yesterday ( I was bored ) and the impression I got from a lot of their fans was that they still hate Moltzen and Wests with a passion for what has happened, but generally they are glad he reneged as it has freed up some money to chase the Stewart brothers. They will take anyone at the moment. They were even going as far as saying who they would like to dump to free up more cash. Eg Nightingale, Cooper, Young, Prior and so on. Love it.

Yeah, they will be spewing for a while.. but that is still expected.. they do nothing but whinge.

they will get over it soon as they realise they wont make the 8

If Peter Peters gets back into the Manly camp - he is the guy who will pull them toegether imo. In that case I can't see the Stewarts leaving. As much as I hate to say it Manly need stability and Peters is the person to do that.

Troy is right - this was a foregone conclusion when it was evident that Moltz had never received (or sought via management or the Dragons club) a formal contractual release!!

I said it at the time but Doust & Tauber played it like contract law virgins and got well & truly deflowered!!!!

It was un-written law with all Player Managesr and Teams that you never had to(get an offical release before signing for new club), but this sitution has changed this in the future
