Well, I think if AD was a 5/8 and wants to play 5/8 - why not?

Brooks and AD could be a good pairing.

Playing Madden this year, without a game under is belt and up against the Storm is absolute madness.
That is not throwing him into the fire - it will end his career, just like we did with Gamble against the Raiders. Just imagine your first NRL game - tackling NAS, Faasuamaleaui, Bromich, Kamikamica, Olam etc. Let alone the tricky ones with speed. By all accounts his defence is not one of his strong points. How long do people think it will take Smith and Munster to work that out.

If your old enough to play, play him, someone on here said a few pages back - good-O that is a great reason for ruining a young blokes career. He needs a full pre-season with the team, and shown how to tackle like Brooks. Then he maybe ready for next year. Madge will know that before the 2021 season begins.

No they are not my reasons for why he isn't a half was just countering your claims that he was a good 6 because he played there in the juniors, so did Sironen. The other claim was Bennett told him he was a 6 but then turned around and released him so both those arguments lose weight.

The reason I believe he is a centre and not a 5/8th is a combination of his running and passing games, he is awkward when chiming into the line, he has awesome footwork at the line which is a true asset but it makes it difficult for the backline to time their run of him. His passing game while good at times is inconsistent and he appears to lack a spiral pass to move the ball quickly. These are only my observations but that is the reason for my opinion.

I'm hoping Madden gets a run in the halves during the trials and then reevaluate then.
