He should know when he’s going on. Madge is robotic in how he uses him.

Robotic football with limited offloads. Our style determined by a lack of pace and threat in the backline.

Brooks development has stalled in my opinion because for too long players around him were blamed for his own inability to address the failings in his own game. We know Brooks can play but has there ever been a player in our club that has had more excuses made for him.
Already the "Maguire is playing him wrong " "he is a confidence player " etc - time for Brooks to work on his game and decide what he wants from his career just like all the others that have come through with him are now doing.
Those who are not sold on Maguire can use his poor form to blame the coach but he is the only one that has forced him to own his form. He will either man up and own it or he will listen to the rumblings and continue to look for excuses at our expense.

Yep exactly, and if he cant figure it out on his own he can head to another club and hide behind the excuses again.

One thing is for sure and that’s Walters has to go. He tries, but he’s not first grade standard.

I'd be interested to hear an honest answer from Brooks on who he thinks he is best partnered with in the halves. Maybe extend it to hear who should be fullback as well. The only person who can ask is Madge and I'd be curious to hear what he says.

Once Brooks has fingered the nominees them ask them if they want to play with Brooks

I have been waiting for him to really rock the NRL and this is his big chance behind the best young fwd pack we have had in age.

Luke needs to realise that he is not the young kid anymore and he needs to set a standard for the rest to follow in his effort,

If the traitor was still here we wouldn't be having this discussion and I'll leave it at that.

Ha was thinking the same thing. There's actually a handful..

Madge said that with this team ""its between the ears""....

I hope Brooks and the others selected for this weeks game have found something to use between the ears....mainly football knowledge and following coaches instructions...that would be a good start for them...

That's the forward pack that was belted by the Warriors and some loaned players.

I reckon a Brooks/Madden combo will work best for the Tigers...Brooks will be the senior member in the halves..he has never been that, and imo something he needs in order to step up

I have said this many times, time to plan ahead and use players we have on contract for next year, I think Madden at 7 with Brooks playing a Keary role would work

I've always liked Brooks but the excuse that it's other players fault that he isn't performing is pathetic.

I have no problems with picking Madden over Reynolds/Benji and Walters but Brooks has to perform if my grandma is out there in the halves with him.

The excuses have to stop. Personally I think Benji and Brooks are our best halves. Madden might be an option but I haven't seen enough of him to say that he is a good option.

We don't need to build for next year. We need to win games starting against the Knights. If we need new halves the club needs to go to market and pick up the best option that they can get.

Imo Brooks has got 8 weeks to show why he should be our no7.
If there's no improvement we MUST shop him around.

Sick of hearing him talk about what he needs to do then go out and not do it.

Agree there could not show if off the bench last few games, given another starting chance this time at 5/8 see how that goes, think he knows is running out of chances to impress coach, long term deal or not...
