Brooks Moses Tedesco....

They have played a total of 3 NRL games together…let's revisit after 50 or so...unless the Forum burns them at the stake beforehand of course

Honestly haven't seen anything to suggest Moses is our long term 5/8\. To be fair I was overseas for a large portion of his games last year but he's done absolutely nothing in the first 2 games this year. Tedesco is obviously a superstar in the making and Brooks has proven that he has the ability to become a very solid halfback. Just waiting for Moses to show the same class the other two have over the next 12 months

I agree 100% on Moses. I haven't seen any of his junior football and I haven't seen him do anything yet that suggests he'll be a superstar in 1st grade. I hope he shows something soon or Moltzen might sneak back into the team.

Moses main issue at the moment is his slight frame.I love his competiveness but he is not taking the line on as he should and I partly fear that this is due to his slight frame against fully grown men.He will be better in 18 months when he has fully grown into his body.He has the smarts and the competiveness to make it and do well at this level he just needs time to grow both physically and also mentally(experience) so he can know the better times to take the line on or to pass it.

Ask me the question who will do better in first grade TeMaire Martin or Moses and this question is a tough one as I think Moses main edge is his competitive fiery nature but Temaire(sorry is that how you spell it?)is the more naturally gifted player.

Well a slight frame never caused a problem for Brett Hodgson. He was one of the toughest in the business and constantly took on the line. All 73 kg of him.

It's easy to get excited when you have exciting young players coming through and are judged on lower grade performances rather than what they have done together as a Unit in 1st Grade .
Yeah the Teddy and Brooks Combo looked good vs the Titans last year and Souffs but apart from that like Geo says they have played bugger all together.
I personally think there is massive hype around Brooks and Moses and if i compare them to the way Foran and Daly Cherry Evans came on in there 1st year of 1st Grade footy , i don't think there anywhere near them , the media love to hype up Brooks and Moses and that is where fans come down on them hard and sometimes not warranted cause there expecting things on the back of what they read .
The key word is POTENTIAL and that is what the media are hyping them around.

Some good points there FT, yes they need more time in the top grade together, you are also right about Foran and Cherry although I think its fair to say they were supported by a stronger team around them at Manly. I agree they have the potential to work on with the coaches.

Yeah no doubt cunno , i forgot to mention that they were well supported by a good Forward pack.

But that is the hype around Brooks and Moses not even Foran and DCE had this hype.

Um yeah um. One example that should have been a penalty anyway. Is that how you would judge his hole career? The man went on to score and set up many a try after that.

He was a champion player and was very tough/brave but if he was 20 kg's HEAVIER WED BE CALLING HIM JARRYD HAYNE.Caps sorry.

Tedesco is miles ahead of Brooks & Moses atm. He's the only 1 out those who has been consistent in the limited game time he has played so far. The halves pairing have been a hit n miss, but it's early days.

Teddy is also two years older playing in a position that is reliant on bossing older, more experienced players around.

The kids will get there. JT warned us that the new systems would take a while to bed down. A loss to the best team in the comp should hardly ring alarm bells.

From the bits that I saw from the game Tedesco looked average too. Give these guys time to grow they are the future of out team.

People's expectations are too high at this early stage.

Moses and Brooks will get all the time in the world. However let's be realistic - they have been poor in every game this year.

I expect them to be inconsistent however they have been consistently poor.

brooks and moses havent set the world alight by any means. i expect more from brooks having a season on moses and hope he can get his decision making to improve in a reasonable timeframe.
moses showed glimpses of his potential today in attack. he has a great pass and should become more of an influence with games and confidence. it looked today though like there were quite a few sets he didnt get the ball and the sets were too hit up focussed, so not sure if there is anything he can do about that.

defensively i watched him closely today and really cant complain about anything. barely even saw him have to make any tackles? means he didnt miss any anyway!!

apart from being a bit quiet today and a couple of poor passes, tedesco has been awesome this season. hopefully he is a barometer for both brooks and moses and in 2 seasons' time theyre all on fire!

oh and as for the article, i agree they have really become trite. its like on a slow news day they will rehash old "these tigers kids are going to be amazing" article….

we get it! :deadhorse:

And not a big loss at that. 14 point loss to the Premiers is not the end of the world in my book either ST.

yeh, as i said in another thread (…or this one? i don't know... i blab a lot. :blah ) the team has quite a few areas to improve upon and they have still done pretty well so far this year. defensively they have been outstanding.
