Brooks vs Moses

Moses has played behind a monster pack this year. You can argue that 4/6 of them are vastly better than ours...yet he failed and regressed.

He has no excuses anymore.

I do not wish to bask in the misfortune of him(Moses) because tbh since he tanked for us against his now current team, I'm honestly glad someone of that character is not a part of the playing group. As for the comparison for him and Brooks whilst neither have matured as leading halfbacks, Luke to me has shown more growth as a player.
Like someone else suggested there's many factors you'd need to consider in assessment:
Leadership qualities - introvert v extrovert etc
Team strength & stability
Coaching systems & structures
Career & skill development

Luke's had a regularly disrupted course of development and the frequent turnover of teammates/players has only caused instability for him. Mitch on the other hand has played with pretty much the same playing group, which has slightly improved each year, and has a specialist halves coach(the 8th immortal to be precise) yet looks worse than he ever did for us.
So while in terms of character MM is by far the worse but looking at their playing ability, I go back to my original statement and that is that Brooks has shown more growth as a player to me.

None of us like the way Mitchell behaved and how he treated our club
I think we all got what we wanted and that's for the Eels to be knocked out
Especially after the way they handled the Stefano situation with our club and how they got Matterson

Sure let's give it to the Eels

But let us all be mindful of the pressure that Mitchell now faces and what he has to deal with
We may all hate him, but we don't wish him any harm

Anyway
Suck eggs Slimmers

If he can’t handle the spotlight, he needs to find another job.

Spotlight yes
But the Trolls no
I've copped it 10 years ago from people that have never met me and don't know me
It starts small and gets out of control
Its not nice being on the receiving end
In my case was a very vindictive person

Giving to him during the season to put him off his game is fair and i see that more as heckling
But to drive it home after he didn't deliver, I think we should be a little cautious on what is said

What’s the point in hating a player if you can’t lap up his failures. I’m not going to stop.

Hopefully he still has his mental health contact in his phone that he needed when we wouldn't release him.....

Oh that's right.....

Forgetting Moses, for mine, Maguire erred in his handling of both Brooks and his role this year, that he realised his error, albeit a little late for my liking and then made changes, was a positive. We started to see the results of his reflection through a somewhat resurgent Luke in the latter part of the season, with a return to 18 and 19 form in my opinion almost certain.

everyone here is forgetting the major difference between Brooks and Moses....

Moses would never have thrown punches at Gagai....Brooks did....

Shows the heart we need.

Moses and Brooks both struggle to justify their salaries. They are close. Moses tries more and fails where as brooks doesn't seem to try enough things. Next year will be easier to compare the two. The spotlight at Tigers will be all Brooks.

Understand what you are saying but until he grows up and acknowledges what he has done to the club and apologises he will always be reminded of what a child he is.

no he isn't, but he had a go at least....

It amuses me how people are still filthy at Moses when the coach didn't think he was worth what he was asking for and then same coach pays 750 -800k for Reynolds. I know who I'm more filthy at.

He is not a boxer

He’d probably make a better boxer than a footy player ..
Geo could be his cut man !

Love the comments from Cronk, Daley and Sterlo on Moses. He is such a cry baby and doesn’t have that next level in him. Has been found out big time the last few weeks. No SOO for him anymore. He was playing behind the 3 most inform forwards & grunt men with Gutho on fire. He should of delivered this year.

Brooks had a terrible year this year and is running on his last legs as well if he can go another level. Give him the forwards and support cast of Parra and no doubts they would be talking a different outcome.

Geo is Brook's Adrienne

Carrying Geo's expectations can't be easy ...carrying Geo fullstop is near impossible ...

I'd rather he concentrate on footy

Hopefully one day soon we have another real half. A leader of men who can take us to the next step.

Only way to end this kind of off season talk.
