Can we continue to carry Moltzen?

Maggy pull ur head in, he was only 20 in 2009 and with the year out he has lost a year of experience! Plus those games u mentioned were spaced out over a long period, which totally nullifies all the good work. It takes a lot of consistent footy wen ur learning a new position (with the same players, not three seasons) to learn it properly! He was still just a young bloke adjusting to first grade and finding his feet rather then professing fb. And with the year out he is still learning

Tigerlogic…..if you would like to have your posts read and responded to with respect, how about you stop asking people to "behave themselves" or "pull their heads in" when they post an opinion differing from yours?

U want to know y glen? Because I'm sick of ppl saying the exact same things to me in the past, respect in my opinion comes in small doses on here.. Anyways I havnt offended u Iv never even commented to u so just enjoy the heated discussion, it's good fun when there is emotion thanks!

I thought he was slowly improving in his role as a fullback and is worth preserving with, but I suppose now with Lawrence's injury things will change. We actually need some pace in our backline and he has pace. Confidence is a big thing and i think he is getting more of that each week. Like Lui I think his game gets put under the microscope a lot more than others. Not saying his a super star but I think in a months time if the team is still on a roll he could be playing some really good football.

Happy tiger I'm not at all defending moltz not running back hard, it's really frustrated me for a while, although it was better on Friday night, regardless of his knee that part of his game needs to continue to improve

tigerlogic, what do you mean behave myself? Pre and post injury, Moltzen is simply a terrible fullback who refuses to put his body on the line. He is nothing but a liability.

Not only is he terrible without the ball, he is also a hog with ball in hand, he has blown countless tries this season due to his selfishness.

Without putting things that harshly I agree with those criticisms all I'm saying is I think he is improving and would persevere… Atleast he catches long range kicks on the full, hamstrings rarely got to them before he got hurt

Cannot agree with you more Hybrid. He is terribly selfish, especially in the centres he never once looked to put his outside man into space. The only time he doesn't want the ball is on kick returns when he knows he will be hammered and then posts the late ball out to a winger to get belted.

Mitch Brown should have at least half a dozen more tries under his belt, no thanks to Moltzen.

What is the benefit of perseverance when he will not be with us next season?

Agreed CB - I cringe at the thought of him in the centres while Lawrence is out, we will go from having an explosive left edge to struggling to score points down that side.

Moltz is a confidence player If he is on he is great and If he makes a mistake like dropping a bomb which led to a try last week he lost his nuts and didn't contest anymore after that one

Moltzen to me seems lost on the park.
I went to the game vs St George and boy he was sloppy. Once I got home I decided to watch the Bigpond Replay and to me when the Dragons kicked into the in goal in the last play.
It took a while for Moltz to clear the ball. It felt to me that he wanted the Wests Tigers to lose.

Good bye…Tim 'Pin Head' Moltzen (A great nick name as provided by Beau Ryan in Beau Knows Cheer leading').

God he must have been a dunce at school. He takes so long to try and learn to play fullback and he still has no idea.

As for you, please write so people can understand what you a trying to say. This is not a mobile phone for God's sake.

Magpiecol bad example to use, it was perfectly clear wot I said hence y ppl have responded, if ur unsure how ppl type in 2011 let me know.. Anyway I must be the ONLY tigers fan who likes moltz and supports him at fullback.. Also, in reference to what someone said re the last play grubber dragons put in, moltz wasn't even fb at the time and was still the first one back to hit the ball dead… Anyways, it's all good fans, most of u don't want moltz at fb, I do, so we will all have to respectfully agree to disagree.. Tigers!

I guess you will be following the Saints next year seeing as your pinup boy will be going there?

Magpie I'm confused, u fail to understand the style in which ppl in 2011 type which tells me ur a bit seasoned, but then u say such foolish and childish comments like insinuating I will swap clubs with moltz.. Which one of those two options is it? Or is it that u who is the gibbera?!
U appear to lack maturity in ur attitude towards me, incase u font realize we r all on the same side here, despite our varied opinions, I already retired in my previous post saying let's respectfully agree to disagree, I have not insulted u personally and trust thy u won't again either. Cheers

Moltzen is not a fullback and never will be . Saints will use him as a utility next season and when Hornby retires or goes to England he will play either 6 or 7 depending on Soward
I am surprised that MacKinnon who was one of our best for most of the season as starting fullback has not been picked as starting fullback by Sheens
Moltzen's only speciality as a fullback is he is fast but we rarely ever see it because he doesn't play fullback as fullback should be played

Magpie ur last post was one of the most childish Iv seen. I havnt missed a Sydney game of wests magpies or tigers in just over 20years, I've represented the club, and Iv worked with the team, I'm a very good supporter of the club! Just because I stand up for an individual u call me a gibbera and imply il switch clubs. Im laughing ATM because ur obviously just a young child which I didn't realize, I will no longer be replying to anything u say on the topic, it's amazing that with all the tigers fans out there I'm the only one who agrees with the coach in supporting moltz at fb.. But magpie we r ultimately on the same side so foolish insinuations arnt necessary.. Back on topic now if possible

Not the only one Tigerlogic. Much of the criticism is fair, but it's funny hoe pre-injury be was talismanic and nobody wanted Lui in the side and post-injury he's the most gutless, useless, wimp ever to pull on a WT jersey.

Reality is, we've not had a good fullback since Hodgo left and the club needs to address that urgently. Personally, I'd have Brown there, but TM is in the spot and we should all be getting behind ALL of the team with sportive and constructive criticism over the next couple of months.

Don't know Larry as I'm not in the team so I'm just happy to support our players including moltzen who is going fine . What possition do u play by the way ? Unless ur in the starting line up then maybe u should just be happy were wininning and maybe start a positive thread !
