Canterbury Bulldogs table four-year deals to lure James Tedesco and Aaron Woods from Wests Tigers

I personally think Woods is gone and I'm ok with that, I'd much rather try replacing him than Tedesco. I'm hoping Teddy stays, Woods wants to play with his brother that was apparent when Klemmer was coming off contact.

I'm starting to think the tigers are only feigning interest in woods in order to convince tedesco to sign

I was thinking along the same lines, except in the Bulldogs shoes.

They want Tedesco far more than they want Woods but they know if they can sweeten the deal with Woods in it that may be the clincher for getting Tedesco.

This is completely not true. James Hooper said the offer had already been made and that Woods and Tedesco are already gone! He asked Pascoe on the weekend 'When will he accept the reality that they are already gone?'

Now you read this article and the offer hasn't been made yet and wont be until Wednesday.

Someone is not telling the truth…... I cant believe it would be a journo, or Hooper....

Do the Bullgrubs have a cap?

Release Moses after this weekend and asked to be compensated by Parramatta and if the other two leave throw them in the reserves for the rest of the year because they are not on the bus.

Maybe harsh but the club and the future comes first

If James Hooper said it was raining I'd walk outside to look.

Probably the best comment made since I've been back here.

Hooper is a puppet to player managers

Agreed. That's why my computer won't let the word Journo and Hooper appear together.

Maybe tigers can do with a former employee telling them where woods actually ranks in regards to props in the NRL. There's only one key stat where he is top 10 in for forwards. His actual worth is closer to the 500k per season mark.

You won't believe this but we are on the same page for once

Problem is though is along with Taylor they are our standout forwards by the length of the Flemington straight

Unless we can surround them with some quality forwards we can't let Woods go

But if the Dogs want to pay him 900 k a year they are more than welcome to Woods , no way we should be even thinking about matching that

To us fron the outside looking in, things are looking on the way up. From the inside it could take a month to notice changes, and maybe Woods and Tedesco want to wait to see how the next month plays out, but the club aren't going to allow that. What will be interesting is if we start winning some more games and we go on a spending spree. Suddenly everyone would be excited and it would feel like an exciting club to be apart of. Would they regret having to leave?

Was funny how composed Pascoe was when Hooper was pounding him asking him if he was awake to the fact Woods and Tedesco were leaving. He was probably thinking "you fool, we're going to be at least 5 million under the cap if they leave. We can handpick who we want their replacements to be".

The figures for Woods boogle the mind. I reckon 500k is basically the maximum we should be offering for him. There will be plenty of forwards who we can attract to the club for the right dollars.

If only we could, more like

Hand pick available talent, divided by talent interested in coming to tigers, multiplied by they have nobody how much can i squeeze

Probably go to 600 k , depends when we start recruiting forwards

Having Woods and Taylor might help attract more talent

As I said in another thread his third year will be his 10th so we will get a discount through the long serving player clause in the cap

Who knows what to think… before the win on Saturday I really thought they were both already gone. But now as things are still dragging on and further reports come out of new offers being made - I am not so sure. I really hope that both decide to stay and we get Moses to flip as well. Wouldn't that be a happy ending - everybody would hail Ivan as the hero and we could concentrate on a few new player signings and build a team. What a warm and fuzzy thought!! But this is the Tigers so anything could happen...

Yeah woods looks good in tigers system because the forward game is centred around him. In reality he's a powder puff who doesn't break tackles or offloads and has minimal metres after contact. His numbers per carry are on par with tim grant. And no one is offering him 1mil a season

Yep, he's riding on a combination of reputation/potential from earlier years and being a standout at our club in an area we're seriously lacking in. I don't care if he goes and if he doesn't want to be here just go now.

Please tell me we didn't offer Woods 1mil. Say it isn't true!
