Man that would be a great move ! Lomax was a tigers fan as a kid , and I don’t know if I should say it , but there was a rumour around that he wanted the tigers to make an offer , as he would have taken it . We obviously had other needs first .

Once again, I think Galvins family sound like good people but they may be believing the hype a little early and are well out of their depth in this world. They’ve basically allowed Richo to use Lachie as leverage now. He’s not paying him much and happy for him to play reserve grade.
They may get what they want long term but there’s going to be some pain between now and then.

Wayne Bennet made the only right call in this situation in 2001 with a young Justin Hodges where he played reserve grade for the rest of his time. Tigers need to take a stand here. He is on a low contract 300k and whatever funds were allocated for an increase this year and next should be used to bring in talent. Only release for a rep level swap.

There is still 42 regular season matches between now and the end of 2026. That's a massive amount of value for a player that is on less than like 300k a season.
