@Tiger_Al said:Only a couple of changes are needed… but they are changes that ARE needed.
I'd go with:
FB - B.STEWART (needs to improve)
LW - HAYNE (done good)
LC - JENNINGS (if getting a game at penrith)
RC - MORRIS (did ok, did nothing wrong)
RW - UATE (made a couple mistakes but still great in attack)
FE - CARNEY (can't drop him now)
HB - PEARCE (thought he went well, combined well with Farah)
P - WOODS (I know he is young.. but when your good enough..., can play big minutes but in origin would only play 40min max)
H - FARAH (thought he played great, just needs to stay involved)
P - TAMOU (had some great hitups.. nsw just needed another of him to interchange with him)
L2R - BIRD (played great and does well operating down the left)
R2R - G.STEWART (like his brother needs to improve)
L - GALLEN (I think nneds to be at lock if playing 80mins)
INT - LEWIS (has more impact off the bench imo, can be the utility as well)
INT - MERRIN (don't really like him but he did ok)
INT - WATMOUGH (has to be brought in for creagh)
INT - WILLIAMS (if he is fit, otherwise might need to go for a leyroyd-lahrs or galloway)

DROP - CREAGH (done nothing, did not even know he was on the field)
DROP - BUHRER (not his fault but just not needed imo)
Yeah I like that team Tiger Al. There's no need to make heaps of changes, they played pretty well the other night and too many changes would only make it more difficult for the team to gel.
I definitely think it would be beneficial to have Gallen back in his rightful position and bring in an authentic prop to start. Gallen is great, but I think he is being asked to do too much at prop. It' s not his natural position and imagine how much more havoc he could create from the back row, along with Bird. That was something that was missing on Wed night - apart from Bird, Lewis, Stewart and Creagh were ineffective on the edges. And Williams, whilst threatening, was obviously injured early on.
I don't know if I'd go with either TLL or Galloway if Williams is out, though. Lars isn't playing real well this year and I'm not so sure Keith is quick enough for Origin - he looked a little lost in his debut last year, albeit he only had about 7 minutes to do anything, much like Buhrer this time. It' s damn shame Sims got injured last week - he would've been perfect! This might be an unpopular choice, but I would put Mannah on the bench. He always gives his best and looked good in beaten NSW sides last year. He could go to another level with a better team structure around him.
