Changes

JT has no guts, he is to scared to drop Dene Halatau but is well within his rights too… Siro was a step in the right direction but that obviously backfired so hopefully that happens again.. If JT doesn't bring in guys like JAC or MCK when we have no hope of making the 8 JT can go .... PAGING CRAIG BELLAMY..

What do you guys reckon??

We have no chance of making the 8 but we do need to make changes. Build for next year and start creating partnerships. We don't have the best players but if they play together and as a team we will competitive. Geez it's tough being a tigers supporter, of late we would be happy with mediocrity rather than what we've been putting up with.

I'm all for changes within the 17, hopefully JT sticks by his decision of dropping siro… JAC and MCK should be in the 17\. Would like to see Felise get another run too.

JT in his press conference said the same old thing….and he said that the halves basically did what they could under the circumstances blah blah blah.

So basically, don't expect any changes this week unless there are some injuries.

Same old rubbish....same old result.

I almost hope Newc win.....if only to bring this circus to an end at the Tigers.

If that was ever to happen, it would be great if we fans were put in the loop so we could understand the thinking behind selections.

As it stands now, we are getting the same old, same old and no real perceived improvements.

Do you seriously think adding JAC and MCK will make a lick of difference?
You can shuffle the deck all you like but it's still the same deck. Our entire squad isn't good enough, it's that simple.

That's nothing, there are people having nervous breakdowns over Drinkwater leaving.

Adding new players who have shown ability in lower grades would shock the lethargy out of established first grade players and provide something to build on for 2017\. These new players really deserve a chance to show what they an do in first grade. It would also give the supporters something to look forward to rather than the current stale menu of uninterested players selected week in and week out by Taylor.

Changes…well i just watched the replay again, first change really has to be the coach, unfortunately our board hasn't got the balls to do so which means we supporters can only expect more of the rubbish that was served up last Sunday.

Mate sometimes i disagree with your comments, well alot of the time i do. But hell this one is spot on. I agree without a doubt in the world.

I've been thinking about the Tigers since Sunday. Frankly, the biggest weakness in this team is the tactical kicking game. Ok, I should say, the most consistant weakness.

It could be argued our defence is bad, or we don't get forward momentum, or lack ability. But that isn't an every game, every minute issue.

But we simply lose out in the kicking game every week. The short kicking game to get repeat sets is abysmal, and our long kicking game is hit & miss.

This is the single biggest weakness in the halves game, and doesn't give the team the same playing field as their opposition.

I'd be tempted to move Moses to fullback while Tedesco is out & have Rankin play 5/8\. Could play Kev out on the wing & move Chee Kam into the centres- should stiffen the defence at the same time.

If Farah is out (I expect he will be), Cherrington would come in I expect, or split time with Halatau.

Rankin was the primary playmaker back in the UK, I'd be interested to see how his kicking game would work here.

Looking at your profile picture, why did you not call for Brooks to be dropped ?

He is having a lot more bad games than good ones.
Put him on the chopping board too

I wonder if swapping sides for one of Kev or Noffa would work??

I wouldn't do it this week, cause I think will win anyway, and it has the potential to have both flanks poor in defensive structure.

Someone suggested flicking Halatau, he has been a little bit ordinary in the middle at times, maybe father time is catching up. We also have to be careful with who our middle options are Josh A and Ava on at the same time is not on, they get caught out for mobility. Either by himself is fine. Maybe starting Ava, and holding back either Woods or Grant solves that problem.

Mate I'd try anything and I'd try it now.

I love how you say that by changing something might make us poor defensively :unamused:

Yeah I'm not opposed to having Rankin play 5/8, and yeah I guess move Moses to fullback. He reminds me of a Blake Austin type player (albeit less dynamic) and could prove much more solid than our current halves setup.. Nothing will change though, but this is one area that really needs to - even to just try something different for one or two weeks.

Lol.. Brooksy is not one of my favourite players but I believe while the halves have made many errors over the last 10 rounds I think if changes are going to have to be made the forwards need to be dropped and bring in guys that are having a real go in ISP, there is no point saying Brooks or Moses has to be dropped cos we all know by now that JT has made it very clear that he won't.

On another note I think having Asepeli Fine in the centres would have huge rewards as is is now quite evident that Kevin Niaqama is not big enough to made tackles on solid guys..

At least guys like Paul Sironen and Blocker Roach aren't coming out and saying it's going to take 10 years for us to turn around, like Andrew Johns said about the Knights today.

Three changes I'd like to see:

-Forwards looking for offloads
-Backs trailing forwards looking for offloads
-Halves kicking for open space

We are last in the league for offloads and we would be close to last for long kicks hitting the turf.

Midfield bombs are allowing fullbacks to make extra yardage coming back - helping opposition forwards who dont need to track back so far.

Lack of 2nd phase play is also making it easier for opposing teams to defend us - impacting our ability to make yardage and conserving energy for their attack.
