Chris Lawrence announces retirement

Thanks for the memories Chris. You’ve been a great player for us , very loyal and a true gentleman. Let’s hope benji makes it a double retirement and you both go out playing finals this year.

Oh, WOW... not many words - this guy's an absolute champion and where we need to be regarding the culture/leadership. Literally feel worst about him leaving it *all* out there with injuries!!

Very rare to find an NRL player like him. All class on and off the field. Tried his absolute best for the Tigers every game he played and remained so loyal through some very tough years. Sad to see him go as people and players of his character are hard to come by nowadays! All the best Rowdy!!

Was lucky enough to see him debut. Was a great day and great win. Such an exciting player to watch. Hope he stays involved with the club.

Congratulations Chris! This fella has quite literally given everything he has to our club. Really proud as a fan to have had him represent the club for so many years. Wish him the best in his retirement and hope that the club can keep him in the fold going forward.

A career wasted. Should have been the games premier centre and would have been if not for the hip injury.

Agreed. Wests Tigers legend but could of been a once in a generation player. Tbh I look back at @bonstonker vids and he was the best attacking centre I have seen before his hip went. Great club man and leader for us.

His toes? His car? His school medals?

Haha not far off.

The ultimate clubman & a Tigers legend. Congrats Rowdy & all the best post-footy.

Hope he stays part of the Tigers club in some capacity moving forward. Smart fella & would be great for our culture.

Seeing you always stay true to the WT provided light for our club and connected fans, in the darkest of times.
The integrity, pride, commitment and loyalty you showed is the most meaningful I've ever seen from any player.
You'll always be a champ in our eyes!!!
Wish you all the best in retirement and thank you for the memories Rowdy.

Good on you Chris you legend! Congrats for a great career, would run suicide lines like no other!

What a tough man hope he gets to stay around the club in some form

Hard to articulate what Lawrence means to our great club, selfless and courageous only scratch the surface.

Thanks for all the great memories Chris, you’ve certainly left your mark on the Mighty Wests Tigers and I hope more than anything that the club finds a way to keep you involved for many years to come.
