Played like a champ.

Lets hope he is never used as a centre again, its been obvious to anyone with eyes that he needed to be moved to the backrow for a long time now.

Change happens slowly at this club.

Spot on. He went well in the backrow, the move was long overdue.

Well, maybe, just maybe, he's the second rower we've been looking for. Certainly now makes centre our number one recruitment requirement, followed by a mongrel prop!

Looking back so far this season, he been pretty consistent, Best he's played in a couple of years, tonight being the highlight.

That should have read, 'a prop with mongrel'!

It's easy to find a prop with mongrel: we just released one to go to Souths. The ones that are good players also? They don't come cheap.

In my mind its not even a contest, its Lodge and screw the rest.

We do need some one else to compliment Woods and Tapau

His name is Lodge

Now that you mention it, YES
Why did he fall off the bench ?
It would have been handy to have him last night.

I say its a 3 way race between Shanti, Lovett and Lodge for a spot.

Santi and Lovett are liabilities.

Found this bit interesting on NRL.com

In his two games in the forwards Lawrence has averaged 124 metres and 31 tackles with Taylor adding the 165-game Tiger was someone his teammates "could look up to".

"Chris is such a professional. I've never seen many guys in my career that are as professional as he is about preparing themselves every week for a game of footy," Taylor said.

"He's an absolute credit to himself and we're lucky to have him at the club leading the way in that regard."

Love the guy - admit I was wrong about the transition to back row.

Hope he continues along the same lines as his two back row games. Think that will solve the missing back rower problem.

Lovett is not the answer at the moment.

Sironen will be the answer for the other spot but he needs more time - he also needs some quick men outside for him to offload to, because that is his game. We also missed his defense last night - he reads the game very well.

Santi will be good for us - never gonna be a superstar but a good fill in when needed.

So good on you Rowdy - so pleased for you that I can't stop smiling.

I was so impressed with him last night. At center he isn't quick enough to beat his man one on one, but in the backrow he can run that hard line back in between the half and backrower, which he did for his try.

He was also sound in defence and made some good hit ups in our end. If he keeps producing that the 11 is his for the next 18 months.

Has been decent all year…played his best game tonight....!2runs 103m 29tackles 0 missed 1lb 2 tries 1pc...any back rower would be happy with that...

Back row is his spot...Well in Rowdy...

Ive been saying this for months.Chris Lawrence will turn into our teams Anthony Watmough ala Manly 2010.You watch.

Like a lot on here I have been saying he should have been in the back row for a long time.
As much as I admire him it was getting to the stage where his play in the centre spot was getting too much for even his most ardent supporters to support.
Really glad he has adapted to the change so quickly - although you can see why they kept him at centre for longer than they should.
Without Nofo and Simona all we have is real reserve graders.

Say what you want about him, but the guy is a born footballer. You could see that before his injury. He definitely has it in him to make the transition. He could easily develop into another Luke Lewis.

HIS BEST GAME IN YEAAARSS. Just wait until a JWH or a burgess runs straight at him, rowdy will pick him up and put him on his back.

Runs strong, good lines, AMAZING one on one and his passing seems to have gone better as well. Needs just a little bit more confidence in offloading and he will be a great backrowers AND HES STILL YOUNG.

My ex fav player :sign:
