The dogs still need a proper halfback and some better front rowers and they've maybe even downgraded at hooker and lack a high quality fullback and 13 as well. Talent everywhere but in the most important positions. I don't think who they recruited makes them a good team. Burton is a talent, but is very inconsistent and his best position is still centre.

Really it's not. It would have been embarrassing to lock him down for five years and realise six months into 2023 that he won't have it.

The embarrassing factor at this stage is that we were so public with our interest, and fell short.
