Coach and CEO interview

Watched it again and maybe Pascoe was referring to Ivan meaning 1990's and Ivan toik the banter wrong and replied in relation to 90% kickers

Gee that was interesting when Pascoe said do you know any goalkickers at the Roosters with a very smug smile. There has to be something in that. It was very deliberate.

in the 90s….cleary

Yeah that's right. He asked if he knew any good goal kickers from the roosters in the 90's meaning Cleary from the 1990's and Cleary totally missed it and thought he meant someone today kicking at 90%. He then eluded to being close to a player that kicks at roughly 90% (meaning his son) but unfortunately is under contract for another couple of years, all said with a big smile which I wishfully took to mean, in a couple of years I'm sure we will see Nathan wearing black, gold and white.

Haha, I took it as under contract for the next few years with the tigers and close to him as in himself. Who knows.

Oh lord stop over-analysing things. They said some stuff, take the things that are obvious, don't look for subtext, you are worse than a bunch of nervous wives and/or husbands.

First it was Curtis Rona's poop, now jokes that Pascoe did or did not make.

Yeah it was pretty straight forward what happened, not sure why it's so hard to understand.

That was good, how often are they going to do it given there are 30 questions?

Pascoe was referring to Ivan.

It's in 4 parts…even I worked that out..

Stay tuned for Part 2 on Wednesday...

Oh and we signing Thurston cause Ivan said it's more important that a player is a good player who can kick goals rather than just a goal kicker..I'm surprised no one picked up on that little gem..

Good to have some insight into the club. Hopoate to WT basically ruled out from this Q&A him wanting to stay at the bulldogs.

It is good Dogs' players want to stay at their club but you would think some will have to go who are under contract.

Is there any chance one of the admin could contact the club to enquire about doing a Q&A with the forum? I'm happy to contact Pascoe myself if an admin or mod gives me the green light.

That's good to hear that JTs on the bus. I guess Reynolds could go to DH with Thurston at 5/8.
Or maybe JT at half and Brooks to fullback … arrr Geez, it's too hard to fit JT in. I don't want him now.

They did not give to much away or tell us anything we did not know, but it still good to get info from the horses mouth rather from rumours and whispers. I see it as a good initiative and lets face it if we relied on the heavily biased media to give us info we would not get much except rubbish.

Just to be a little cynical, Taylor started off his tenure with us doing much the same thing and look how that turned out!!!!

More talk blaaaaah

All I got out of it is they have given up on 2017…which as a supporter is very disappointing.....

I think they were just responding to fan questions, and I'm guessing the majority of questions (from supporters) were about recruitment.

Interesting to hear Cleary say he doesn't think many other sports have his problem at the beginning of the season., with all the player movement . I guess coming into 2018 was always going to be the worst year for it.

Good initiative by the club they can only give limited information on recruitment in fear of harming negotiations. The main point I picked up was Ivans comment that no player is indespendable so those with inflated egos are no longer required when the dust settles we are going to be a better team

Cathy Drago!

I took from that that we're going to sign Dolph Lundgren, who was a 90% kicker in the 90's.

He has a masters of engineering from Sydney uni as well, so the link to Sydney is definitely there. Can see this one happening.

I think Ivan ( like the rest of us ) will be happy when we have a stable roster for 2018 & can focus on getting the best out of the squad with no distractions.
