Coach and not playing roster is our problem

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but lets not lose sight of the fact, we're going through our annual run of injuries. I see no problem with sheen's tactics, he can only work with what hes got (I do agree friday night was rather painful to watch). People seem to forget that we made the bloody semi's last year too - he really is losing ideas…

I for one, cannot imagine us playing under another coach, it has been an absolute roller coaster ride, but i've loved every second of it; win, loss or draw.

And to the idiot who thinks the general consensus of "most" tigers fans don't want sheens around, grow up, you don't have access to that type of information, you never will either.

Get behind the coach/team ffs, this is a very important part of the season.

We need a better roster and a better coach if we are going to improve. I think Sheens needs to move on, we look stale. But who do we replace him with? The forward pack needs improving and a new fullback and halfback (perhaps Miller?)

storm and manly are examples of well coached teams

You're right. They have cheating down to a fine art.

they are..storm have lost alot of good players look at their current team besides the 7-1-9 they have a pretty average team, Manly have had 3 differet 7's in 4 years yet compete very highly each year and IMO have on paper a B- squad. They are just very well coached

We are stale and seemingly directionless.

You either change coach or players. We chose option b.

I will wait and see how it pans out before making a decision

It'll be the what, third or fourth time weve been down this road?
Im sure Gibbs will be excited at having someone new in charge
I know I been sick of him for years, imaging players that have to work with him 24/7….same old speeches, same old ''threats'' same old innefective game plans, same old cocked-up bench selections, same old excuses year after year after year.
Be gald when he and his cronies are all gone

sheens has just resigned for another few years so these repetitive topics on sheens and the coach are getting tiresome. he aint going anywhere so live with it.

and the problem with our playing roster is that a good chunk of it aint there.

lets just hope the team can get back to full strength as quick as possible and we can make a solid charge from here on to the finals.

To be blunt we need both. The coaching needed changing at the end of 07 and the playing roster has only had cosmetic surgery over the last 4 years, some of our players have made no progression and should have been given the flick years ago

I'm not convinced that our club is in such a bad state. We did well last year and we have had a tonne of injuries this year and we still aren't going that poorly.

I don't think it is the playing staff that are the problem either. I think that we are simply over the cap and therefore they are getting rid of players where possible.

incase u have been under a rock the last month or so…...that dont mean much

Would he be happy to bide his time for another three years and get sheensified?
I reckon he'd be looking for a top spot somewhere.
Deserves it too.

One of the worst decisions WT management ever made was letting Folkes go - he should've been offered the top job. Oh what might have been! Have to move on though, I guess, but I just don't know if I can endure another 3 years of mediocrity!

Folkes is a myth.

As for Sheens our best player seems to love him and based on that I'm not convinced there is a problem. I think we have salary cap problems and we have had a lot of injuries this year.

Anyway I think we should all give it some time. They might have cap problems that are being sorted out. They might have signed Blair. We might get into form and win the comp. I'm spewing we lost Fifita but he might turn out a loose cannon and we'll be better off. Gibbs is doing his best to make his leaving a complete non event.

Folkes is a myth ?

In the 11 years he coached the Dogs they made the Semi's 7 times. So if he is a myth what do you call the Fonz who has a record a fraction as good as that ?
