Sorry to say it, but Madges selections are on par with the game plan(or lack of), discipline (there is none) structure,(whats that?) agression, (whats that ?) It's a simple fact , we are a poorly coached team of sub standard players.

And players that he brought to the club. All way to slow for the modern game. Tamou wouldnt make any other teams first grade side and Madge has made him captain. Now he want Tpj - wow. We need hard arse defenders not big slow edge backrowers who turn up for 5 games a year. Our recruitment has been poor big time.

I’m shouted down on here by a few for being too negative towards the coach, but we are now in year 3 and we’re getting progressively worse. I’m not sure how we get out of this predicament but changing nothing is not the answer.

Mate, I am the biggest Tim Sheens fan, but he hasn't coached in the NRL in 10 years.

I did just check his results in the Super League and they are better than I expected, maybe I could be convinced on Sheens.

To be honest I think I could probably be convinced on Tim Sheens if he came with some sort of clear succession plan in place.

I am still watching and, you know what Kul, Melb have not been 'that' good tonight. It is just a normal game / training drill.

Yes, great side...but they have barely raised a sweat.

This is entirely on us.

Our edge D is Z grade...Madge has had 2.5 years to get the edge D fixed, and has failed miserably.

We need more than rhetoric and speeches. They have their place and time, but we need a lot more.

We need a real coaching team, smart assistants, and basic skills and patterns.

This is just beyond acceptable. Anyone who accepts it at this point is part of the cultural problem we have. At any serious club that first half would have massive ramifications. Let's see what we do.

so in all honesty who would we get? who would want to do it?

Someone who can 'coach' patterns, coach D, young assistants with tactical nous...

It is really important the young blokes we have learn and have a coach with game plans and tactical nous.

Ciraldo? Not sure how he'd go.....look at Barrett. Both are/were worldbeaters at Penrith, Barrett has been a big flop at Canterbury.

But but he was the man behind Penrith’s attack. Or was that just because no one wanted to give Ivan credit? ?

He'll probably get the Taylor treatment sacked a few weeks into the season if he starts poorly next year. Problem is who's even available as head coaches? Need to find a good assistant coach who's looking for a top role

That would be unwise IMO. We have a bit to spend for next year, players will want to know who they’re playing for

A rookie coach is the worst idea, we need someone experienced, really we need someone in the top echelon of coaches and its just not going to happen.

Keeping Maguire is the worst outcome. It would make WTs look utterly weak. The Board need to take decisive action and sack Maguire Monday.

The sad thing for me is that we've been this way for most of the season and the whole lack of accountability and leadership once again took centre stage.
But this time everything came undone and unravelled. All our worst nightmares came true tonight because the things that needed to be addressed 14 or 5 rounds ago, continue not to be.
No offence but I think it's as simple as being that we were found out for how unprofessional we really are as a team. The poor standards, structures and effort were exposed big time, by a team who are the best at doing so.
Who honestly doesn't know where our (WTs) weaknesses lie?
Any good attacking team will be lapping it up against us.

I'll tell you one thing though, I still don't know who our best team is and what our strengths are. Most teams are going from strength to strength but we show little progression as a team.

Bellamy ran every play at our edge D first ten mins...everyone knew it.

Not a single adjustment. Not a single one all season.

What adjustment do you think should have been made out of interest?

Our edge D is the worst in the comp...it has leaked points all season.

LL is clearly not an 80 min player and he has no lateral movement. Bench him. Start Seyfarth and Blore and start with two defenders and set the tempo. Garner arm grabs, he is not a starter either. Bench him.

Nofaluma has not displayed ANY ability to read defensively...he has had years. Move him on. Like Griffin is doing at saints, tell blokes to go find another club.

We have several of the worst defensive players in the comp...yet Madge picks them week after week. He even pairs them up, which is incomprehensible. Everyone else can see it...

I agree Luch isn’t an 80 minute player and should be rotated with another back rower (say Blore). If you’re not starting Garner who besides last night, has been defending alright in the games I’ve seen, who starts in his place. We can try Kelma but he looks lazy at times in reserve grade so not sure he’s the one

Agree with Nofo but he ain’t going anywhere after his new 4 year deal and telling someone there’s no future for you at the club doesn’t mean they just look elsewhere, refer Packer and Mbye.

I have said it before and the coach,players,recruitment are all a major part of our failure at the moment,although many of us were upbeat at the start of the season but not confident of making the finals,we have come to see where we are at in regard to player quality and having young potential up and comers still learning their trade to be competative in the NRL...

we are facing the pain atm but I cant wait for the relief to come,maybe 2022 will see us in a much better position all round...

I dont understand how sacking Madge will do anything? He is a proven winner with the right cattle. How many of our current squad would make the starting team in any of the top 8 sides? Hardly any if any. Here in lies the problem.

For years WT have only ever attracted has-beens and the odd plodder. Unfortunately we are not yet to see any youth come through that are quality 1st grade material. I really believe WT are doomed, and as an entity, cannot dig themselves out of the hole the club is in. Relocation offers the only hope as I do not think we will survive too much longer whilst praying and witing for the next crop of superstar juniors come through.

Would Flanagan/Morris & Co turn the career of James Roberts around? Could they make Garner a superstar? Could they get the best out of Moses & Brooks? I can't see it unfortunately. The problem is 100% the players. This I'm certain of.

We have very little speed, players that cannot read defence and we are rudderless in attack. No coach in the NRL (including Bellamy) could fix what we disg out on the field week in week out.

The game plans don't help

No such thing as a game plan v the storm ..
Unless you call holding the ball and staying in the field of play a game plan lol ?


The game is won in the collision and from the outset we are back to the passive defensive structures.
