I don't want a swap of Matterson with any of Leilua, Nathan Brown, or Lomax. I don't want any of them, as none of them would be capable of the impact or value of Matterson (if he got his attitude and management right).

In fact, what have I missed in Lomax?? i don't get the hype. I know he can kick goals. Is that it?

He's been coming to us for 6 months. The new Curtis Rona. This forum always seems to find one opposition player that it latches on to, and come hell or high water, won't give up the ghost that the club will eventually sign him. I remember for years it was Brett Finch.

There's been a lot of talk about a swap with the titans ie brimson or arrow. What about Tyrone peachey? He was on the cusp of origin a few years ago.

My preference would be arrow, but I'd take peachey over leilua

I really rate Leilua, he has the ability to slip tackles and offload, we need a drover’s dog to follow him through the ruck to take advantage, unfortunately nobody backs up these type of players anymore, it’s all ‘take the hit-up yourself Then play the ball’. I see similarities to Todd Payten who was referred to as a halfback playing in a front rower’s body. However, he doesn’t play 80 minutes like Matterson can.

Probably not if that's the only move we are going to make. Leilua doesn't come close to replacing Matterson. If we trade Matterson for Leilua and Lomax AND we manage to sign someone else in the middle, then it might work. But just that trade on its own doesn't work imo.

I'd take Leilua - think he is a very good thinking forward, Madge would certainly get him fit.

However a straight swap is not a reality. Leilua + $$$$$ (how much I don't know) but enough to also help us get Lomax .....

Whoever said it (can't remember) - he can do a lot more than kick goals.
